Studied body piercing with the piercing academy which is located inside this business. The tattooists were always really welcoming and polite to us each day and I physically saw them always cleaning and being great to their clients. Their body of work looked amazing 👏

1 star would be a credit to this shop, I had a tattoo booked with Jayptatts, I paid the deposit and was ignored since then. He didn’t advise me of where the shop is, what hours he works… the usual. A day before I contacted hustle ink because I found out he worked for them, they didn’t seem surprised by his lack of customer service. Jay then promised to be at the shop on the day of the tattoo for 12. I arrived at 1130 and waited until 1pm… where’s Jay? He didn’t turn up and the shop shutters were down. For £900 (this is what he charges) you’d expect top customer service, once again someone who has wasted their talent as he is clearly a good artist but has the worst professionalism I have come across in all of my life. Seriously don’t book with any artist here or waste your time. Just the other reviews above - you will be disappointed.

Had a tattoo a year ago by Jay, first 3 months seemed alright.. a year down the line and the tattoo has completely faded to the point where you can’t even see it.. Which says a lot about the ink he has used considering i paid £700. I then messaged Jay on many occasions to ask if he could re do it, he finally gave me a date and time and then proceeds to message me the day of the date & time he’d given me to find out he’s on holiday & had blocked me from seeing his instagram story. Absolute Joke

I am never usually in the business of writing bad reviews, however in this case I feel like I am basically forced to. As arranged with Jay I was booked in for a day session on the 11th and was told to arrive at 12:00. Upon arrival (11:45) the shop was closed which was very strange. I messaged Jay for an update he said he was only running late and would be 30 mins which was understandable and so I waited. 1 hr goes by, I message him again and received no response for another 1 hr. At this point I had been sitting in a Pret for nearly 3 hours waiting, before I am told the guy with the shop keys is unable to get to the shop and they cant open. With proper communication I would have let this slide, however after I traveled all the way to hackney from south essex, took the day off work, sat on a train for 2 hours to literally sit in a Pret and eat a ham sandwich I feel like this level of service in unacceptable. I ended up leaving to go back home around 15:00. Which other profession would allow this kind of thing to happen? if you are a builder for example and you were unable to get to a job you would do you upmost best to ensure your clients are looked after and are completely in the know about the whole situation. However in this case it came across as this was only a minor thing and I haven't even received a response from them offering alternative dates etc. Based on my experience I wont be booking with them again, doesn't mean to say this is a common thing this is just my experience but the way this was handled was inappropriate and I hope anyone looking to get their first tattoo like I was, never has to experience anything like this.
