Flat site. Not the most attractive entrance but the touring area opens out onto a wild field. This can be a bit waterlogged in winter and covered in Brent or Canada Geese. There are coastal walks through a nature reserve directly from the site. We had an extremely friendly, exceptionally jolly, comedic welcome. The showers and toilets were worn but spotlessly clean. it can be very busy and noisy in the summer but quiet in rainy March. The view is of the Isle of Wight if you stand on tiptoe. The Hurst Castle mentioned in its name is not visible.

Absolutely loved our stay here. The campsite is located right next to a nature reserve and the sea with a view over to the Isle if Wight. The campsite has such friendly and helpful staff, and has the right amount of amenities: children’s play area, recycling etc. Dogs and children are made to feel very welcome.

Rooms: Chalets, caravans, hard standings, electric hookups and random pitch fields where fire are allowed - what's not to like? Playground: Great setup for kids and plenty of room to run around, explore and play. Restrooms: Cleaned often. Sinks, toilets (toilet roll supplied) and showers plus hand dryer. Lit and heated which was really welcome at 1am and -7`C outside! Dog-friendliness: Dogs allowed but ned leashes on site. Good local walks available.
