    I don't understand some of the other reviews. How can they be genuine? Some agency (not this one) proposed me a bottle to post a nice review. I guess that's how. But the stuff couldn't be used neither as wine nor as vinegar unfortunately. How are those agents useful to find a property? The market has been so hot, one needs to bid up big time and fast else it all goes away in minutes. We didn't even visit the flat we ended up renting because the good ones were all going away within hours of posting the ad. I must have called 200 ads. This is captive business, customer can't do anything. So expect top prices and bottom service, but it's even worse than that. I/we've rented at least 10 flats before in Hong Kong, Singapore, Paris. Serviced apartments in London, New York. I've never seen this. Level of rent prices don't help to relax, doesn't help either that foreigners have to pay 6 months upfront. This can't be held against the agency. You just got to keep in mind it's the landlord paying the agent. They don't work for you. Given that in the UK people treat each other as corporate entities, they interpret this as: they work against you. When moving in, all the sinks in the flat were stuck. The boiler was complex to operate. The team supposed to help did absolutely nothing despite us calling them several times a day. So I ended up asking: why can't you just come over? "My office is 30 min away, I'd have to take the tube". Come on man. Not even mentioning the landlord, not lifting a finger. This level of cowardice, coldness, bureaucracy, I've never seen this anywhere. Also an age-old scamming pattern: property management team asks you to call the letting agent, who asks you to call the property management team. It took 3 days without washing hands, taking showers, etc, with a 2 years old. Not the end of the world, right? I'm not posting this about the discomfort, but just out of frustration to see a business like this. They even advised us to use knives to unclog the drains. Really? But now after moving out they're trying to charge 400 pounds cleaning fee for 2 hairs on the ground. If we did use knifes, the landlord would have come knocking at the door asking for 4000 pounds. Would you have paid it? As property agents you're often the first contact foreigners deal with when arriving a country. So not only you're terrible as a business and human beings, but you also give a poor showing of your country.

    I was not happy with the agent who put an extremely high pressure during whole process from the beginning. It led me to change my mind and go back to search after making the offer. I was just always told that there were many people making the offer at the same time. So of course without any assurance it is normal that client continues a search as well. But it was not understood by agent. Agent should not put such level of pressure. For payment of first guarantee it was just horrible with constant calls to my self and relocation providers, + sms and emails. Then at the end when my relocation agent requested information to finalize the rental agreement, Hurford Salvi Carr was not so prompt to reply. So completely negative experience for me. Sorry.

    The HSC team headed by Angela Kelly did an excellent job finding me a tenant quickly at asking rent. The speed and efficiency with which they moved forward the referencing and agreement process, even over the Christmas period, enabled the tenant to move in on time. They were flexible in accommodating my desire to deal with some aspects (eg checkin) myself. Alex was very helpful with sorting out issues with a broken door lock and organising cleaners. Ada was prompt and efficient with the documentation and my statement of account came through accurately and on time. Very pleased.
