Expensive, extremely poor communication, very late delivery of incomplete order. I ordered a 3 piece suit, shirt and braces for an elderly, terminally ill friend of mine, several months before the date of the wedding he was due to attend. He wanted the suit not only for this wedding, but also for his own funeral. Hunter Kingsley were overly keen to take the 50% deposit for the order before sending out any samples. Once the deposit was paid they went off grid for months. I tried many times to contact them and ask for an update. Eventually Alan contacted me and gave me a sob story about their move from Ayr to Glasgow, and that their tailor was no longer accepting work. I asked why he had not thought of letting me know in order that we go elsewhere for my friend's suit. There was no excuse. He promised that the suit would be completed, fitted and perfected for a date several weeks before the wedding. It was not. Alan arrived with the trousers and jacket at 1030pm the night before the wedding, it needed further alterations and was without a label. He demanded the final payment despite us not having the goods. We paid the final amount, on the understanding that the waistcoat would arrive within 5 working days. Over a month later, we still do not have the waistcoat, bespoke shirt and braces. Starting legal proceedings to recover costs. Trading standards to be informed.

Found Hunter Kingsley after a bit of research online looking for a bespoke tailor for my wedding. Contacted Alan, and organised an appointment to discuss options. Throughout the process I have found Alan to be knowledgeable and understanding, making suggestions and pointing me in the right direction when I am unsure. There's alot of variables that go into making a suit that the average Joe such as myself don't appreciate, but having someone with the know how to guide me through it was invaluable. The suit turned out great! Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a personalised bespoke suit service
