A very easy stadium to get to, not far from any of the motorways connected to Leeds. Generally quiet on approach to the stadium, a pleasant drive in. Parking was excellent, with a free car park right outside the ground. The location was surprisingly decent for what I was expecting on the drive in. Once you get into the stand, if you go to the upper tier, you can see all of Leeds to the North. The view of the stadium and pitch itself was ok. The stadium looked fairly basic, and integrated into a sports facility and gym, however, I’m never a fan of a running track around the pitch, you feel so far away from everything. The facilities were actually really good. The toilets were clean and well looked after, the bar was bog standard but had a large indoor seating area, ideal for start of the season when it’s still a bit fresh outside, as you can still watch the match through the windows. Food and drink seemed limited. The kiosk did burgers which were fantastic, but there was no menu or price list, so not knowing what the options were, I went for the burger. There was a security presence throughout the stadium, not entirely sure it was necessary, as I’ve never experienced any poor behaviour at a rugby match, however, safety measures were excellent for the clash. The atmosphere was quiet really. There was a handful of supporters hurting their lungs, but not too much cheering.
