FAQ

What types of fruits and vegetables are available for picking at your farm?

At Hungers Heath Farm, we offer a variety of fruits and vegetables for picking, including strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, gooseberries, currants, apples, plums, cherries, peas, beans, sweetcorn, pumpkins, and more. We update our website and social media regularly to inform customers of what is currently available for picking.

Are pesticides or other chemicals used on your crops?

We take pride in using sustainable and organic farming practices at Hungers Heath Farm. We do not use any synthetic pesticides or chemicals on our crops. Instead, we use natural methods like crop rotation, cover cropping, and predatory insects to control pests.

What is the cost per pound for picking produce?

Our prices vary depending on the type of produce and the current season. We have a pricing guide available on our website and at our farm stand. We strive to keep our prices affordable and competitive while maintaining the high quality of our produce.

Are there any regulations or restrictions on the amount of produce that can be picked?

We do not have any strict regulations on the amount of produce that can be picked, but we do ask that customers pick only what they need and not waste any produce. We also ask that customers do not bring any outside containers for picking, as we provide our own containers for collecting produce.

What are your hours of operation and do you offer any additional services, such as a farm stand or educational tours?

Our hours of operation vary depending on the season, and we update our website and social media regularly with our current hours. In addition to our Pick Your Own services, we also have a farm stand where customers can purchase pre-picked produce, as well as other locally sourced products like honey and jams. We do not offer educational tours at this time, but we are always happy to answer any questions customers may have about our farm and our farming practices.

Went for breakfast which was very tasty and good value with quality bacon and sausage. served piping hot and not long wait though we were first in. only improvement suggested is to have a larger extraction fan fitted as cooking smells tend to fill the restaurant. Would recommend to others.
