A fantastic venue which provided our group with a magical experience! Not being that familiar with Hull, it was amazing to find such a brilliant theatre right in the city centre. It’s literally steps from the railway station, on a main road/bus route, so is easily accessible all round. It’s also fully accessible for wheelchair users, as we had as part of our group. Saw an adaptation production of Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol”, featuring 2x HI performers, which meant we got a sprinkling of sign language throughout the performance - a brilliant touch! The acting was phenomenal, the sets evocative, and the whole production was absolutely magical. The only downside was that we saw it in warm weather, rather than during the Christmas time it’s set in! Would highly recommend Hull Truck Theatre and especially the adaptation of “A Christmas Carol”.
