This job centre is a disgrace. The majority of staff are totally negligent and offer the bare minimum when it comes to advice and support in helping those very much in need of it. I have found myself pleading and begging for advice concerning a matter with the DWP and was told that nothing could be done as their job was to only help me "find work". Granted, this obligation is what ought to be prioritised, yet it is obvious that, given the resources and access available to employees, there was something that could have been done to help my situation but I was denied this due to the utter lack of concern and indifference these employees have, even on a human-to-human level. My previous job centre (Marylebone) offered the required support and then some; Hoxton job centre does not even offer what is required and is thus in need of urgent reform - but we all know this will not happen because this country is broken, as are its governmental institutions. As for the Hoxton Jobcentre, the support offered in helping individuals find work is wholly insufficient. Appointments are scarcely arranged and there is no consistency with work coaches; I see a different person each time and I can’t help but feel that they could not care less about anything you have to say. Now more than ever, I am immensely grateful for the kindness and support I received during my time at the Marylebone job centre and continue to remind myself that there are some good eggs out there, but unfortunately I have yet to stumble upon any here, at the Hoxton Jobcentre. Based on my experience, I suspect that most people are not satisfied with their jobs here, and I wholeheartedly respect that, however, I will always be shocked at the lack of empathy which continues to plague such spaces. BY GOD, when will you all realise that it's not hard to be a decent, compassionate person and that the world would be much better for it? If you're given the chance to eliminate, or at least lessen the burdens of stress we're all dealing with as a result of inadequately operated governmental departments, then WHY WOULDN'T YOU?! The DWP has caused me much mental stress over a matter that could have been resolved had someone just given a damn. We are all in the same boat, I just wish the employees of the DWP would realise this. P.S I’d like to take the chance to acknowledge the work of one employee named Guy. Unfortunately, I hadn’t the privilege of being assigned Guy as my work coach, but my friend did previously and has had nothing but praise for his support and work ethic. Given my experience, I was surprised to hear of this needle in a haystack, but it was reassuring to know that they are out there. If we could all be more like Guy, then perhaps significant reform would be well on the way. The one star is for GUY - and for the few who actually care.

Rude and disrespectful. Staff are here for a paycheck and could not care less about helping people,no wonder why this place has the lowest star review. they need to remind what they supposed to do ( Essentially, a job centre, known as Jobcentre Plus in the UK, Is a government-run employment agency and social security service. Their aim is to help you find a job if you're out of work and provide benefits payments if you're on a low income or have no income.
