Took 3 months to perform simple brakes repair and aux belt tensioner. Absurd time frame for this type of repairs. They did not inspect the vehicle properly - which is why the vehicle was sent to them and missed quite a few issues, including some major faults. Complete lack of professionalism. I can totally see that Jake Blakemore - complaining from their organizing skills, is correct in his statement. They missed a bolt on a tensioner they installed and haven't even checked basic things like oil and coolant levels and tire pressures. Even something simple as the engine oil being overfilled was missed or not attended to. Service: General repairs & maintenance

Mixed reviews about this Garage as my first experience was 5 stars. Incredible service and good price. My second was not so positive as the person who booked me in for the work on my car was very condescending and made me feel like I was not worthy of their services. I have never been lectured by a Garage before about my previous MOT. Be careful if you are easily offended by people judging you when just ring and ask them for help. Perhaps it was just me he took a dislike to as this is generally a great place as my first experience showed it was . Now I think they are just snobby

Having recently left the motor trade myself, I was looking for a decent reputable local garage for servicing, repair work & MOT Tests. I have used these guys a few times now & so far so good, they are honest & polite, not overly expensive (you don’t ever want to go to the cheapest place anyway) & they get the job done. Just moved to the area and was looking for somewhere to get my bike serviced and MOT'd. Found Howarth's on Google and was impressed by the positive reviews by other bikers. Tried to book in for a service and MOT but they were fully booked for weeks (a sign of a good garage) unfortunately but they did agree to squeeze me in for the MOT which was due to run out this week. Friendly service from Phil and Mike (I think), much appreciated. I don't want to recommend too highly, they're busy enough as it is 😃
