100 of 10kg bags arrived yesterday on the expected delivery day and for £200 less than some other suppliers. Pleased I had no issues as I have used Housefuel for years and was a bit concerned with some of the recent reviews. All good atm.

Extremely poor service,ordered 1 ton of smokeless coal on the 16th of February to be delivered on the 24th February.I was contacted by them to ask if they could deliver straight from their depot to my home and even stack it for me,great I thought except Friday arrived but the coal didn't,when I contacted them they told me 'very sorry its been delayed and will be delivered next week' When I contacted them this week I was informed they wouldn't be delivering themselves but a pallet delivery company,so would have to stack it myself!! Phoned again Thursday 2nd Feb to find out when it was going to be delivered and they would get back to me which didn't happen. Today Friday 3rd no delivery in the morning rang up again to be told it wouldn't be this week and weren't really sure when it would be. CANCELLED THE ORDER. Check all upto date reviews and you won't ordered either,I've bought from them before and this is the worst service I've received so far. I feel sorry for the front line Customer service staff as their taking all the flack. The 1 Star I gave would only have been half.

Have ordered smokeless ovals for a good few years. The price has doubled in the last year and the quality of these are really bad now. Double the amount of ash. Offensive odour when lit. Terrible quality now and they don’t even bother to respond to emails. Doubt I will use them anymore

Been buying Newburn smokeless coal from this company which I can't fault. This year I bought smokeless ovals. They are absolutely rubbish no heat and loads of Ash. They are now selling them off cheap.

Rang the company complaining about the coal being wet dusty hard to light and after getting it to light it contained pebbles which to me would mean mixing to make the weight up and ripping the customer off I’m not a happy man with this and I’m still waiting for a response.

Whatever you do avoid these like the plague. Ordered a ton of the economy ovals for my multifuel stove. The product is garbage. Produces little heat. Nightmare to burn having to run the stove on boost just to get it burning. The amount of ash it leaves is astonishing. Never ever had a fuel that is so useless. Rang and complained and was told that the product make up has changed. With costing double it did last year you would have thought it would have improved. Just another company profiteering on the heating crisis. THIS PRODUCT IS NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE. GO ELSE WHERE

Purchase a pallet of their economy ovals every year for last 6 years. Obviously massive price hikes due to energy crisis. However the ovals purchased this year are no way near the quality from previous years. Take a lot longer to actually create heat. Also leaves way more ash. Seems that due to demand and increase in prices the quality of the product has been effected. Disappointed
