If you are looking for an early years practitioner who specialises in Mathematics, Barney's maths shows will not disappoint. His ability to communicate mathematical concepts through play and encourage children to articulate their thoughts is astounding. This year, Barney attended our event, the Oxford Maths Festival. Initial communication was extremely easy and clear. On the day, Barney arrived and delivered two incredible shows; his show for older years, 'Mathemagical Mind-Reading', demonstrated the trickery and magic behind maths. His equally interactive show for younger children, 'Cunning Maths', is an exceptionally fun and whacky presentation which is dynamic and interactive. As there are not many mathematicians who cater towards a younger demographic, Barney is delivering something that is unique and enriching. Barney is an experienced and highly professional presenter who we would love to collaborate with again in the future.

Barney delivered an excellent presentation for two year groups of students . Students were entertained and able to think about their Maths throughout. An afternoon session working out Euler's equation was really well received with students left wanting more!

Barney came and provided shows for the year 7 and year 8 students at Oasis Academy Lord's Hill and it was an incredible experience! Barney was brilliant with the pupils and his shows have been sparking conversations about maths between both the students and the staff involved! The organisation of the event was made quick and easy by Barney's input and we can't wait to welcome him back to our school soon! Many thanks Barney!

The entire day was phenomenal as was the feedback not only from the children but the teachers too. I knew the day would be great but could not have foreseen just how fabulous Barney would be! We were completely spoiled! Teaching & learning, huge amounts of fun, interactive activities and a sprinkling of party entertainer magic too. It was pretty special to find that Barney had also selected a different and age appropriate mathematical concept to demonstrate to each year group rather than reuse one idea and tailor the terms used and expectations – this was the cherry on top! House of Maths will have to be a yearly event in our school calendar from now on.

Barney was fantastic and came in to do four sessions with each year group at school, as part of our Maths Week England celebrations. The activities and tricks were well pitched and the children loved seeing a variety of different skills and ideas that they could take home to share with their families! Barney was enthusiastic, engaging and instantly captivated 90 children at a time to share creative maths games and knowledge. He was fantastic and all our classes enjoyed his educational and entertaining delivery. Highly recommended.

Highly recommend House of Maths, do not think twice book today! We hired Barney, House of Maths for a whole year group show for 270 year 7’s, he kept them all fully engaged and enthralled for well over an hour. They all has smiles on their faces and learnt about maths, geometry and algebra especially, without even realising they were learning as it was so fun and entertaining. Barney delivered above and beyond what we expected. He was a pleasure and the hiring/booking process was super smooth, despite us having to cancel and rearrange. We also had two hour long workshops for 32 students each hour, which has gone down a storm with students and their parents. We couldn’t of asked for more. Perfectly pitched for KS3 and even our ‘too cool for school’ students who hate maths came away loving session. We will be rebooking…so get in quick!
