    Having just completed the 5 day makeup course (part time over five consecutive Saturdays) with David, I cannot recommend this course enough! With his considerable wealth of experience in the makeup and cosmetic industry, David’s training really puts the “artist” in makeup artist. In those five days I learned so much about the theory, history and business of makeup, with plenty of time spent in practical lessons to apply what I learned. The class size is also small enough that I felt I was getting loads of 1:1 guidance and support. If you are interested in becoming a makeup artist, or already a makeup artist wanting to up-skill your craft or business, this is a great course for it. Thank you David and Chinyee!

    Today I had a one-to-one session with David Horne. I am a 11 year Make up artist in a creative slump not sure how to evolve with the change in make up industry. Not anymore! Had an amazing two hours learning exactly what I need to do to move my artistry and business forward. I was also lucky enough to have a model to work on under David’s expert eye. I’m over the moon!     Highly Recommended !! This is the only place to train if you want to become a real makeup ARTIST. David and Chinye are so welcoming and friendly right from the beginning. They make you feel comfortable and at ease straight away. The lessons are taught hands on in smaller intimate lessons where David can really give you the attention you need to help guide you into perfecting your techniques. I learnt so much on the 5 Day Pro-Intro course and I definitely will be returning to do more courses in the future. The support doesn’t stop when you finish the course either. You have support from David and a chat group from other past and present students to help you with any questions or advice you may require. Once you book a HOGD course you become part of the HOGD family. Thank you again David and Chinye for everything and hope to see you both again soon !!

    Incredible! David and Chinyee and two of the most welcoming and lovely people I have met. I have been in the industry for around two/three years and have done a few courses over this time. This school is by far the best I have been to and will be the only one i’ll be going to in the future. Mr Horne is an amazing teacher and makeup artist, who has made me look at makeup artistry and the industry in a completely different light which has inspired me.     All I can say is ‘beg and borrow’ if you have to but if you are looking for professional training with an industry based expert, look no further. I knew within half an hour of being there that this was more than your average make-up school. From Chinee’s excellent pre-care and detailed instructions so I didn’t get lost, to David’s friendly detailed teaching techniques I felt immediately welcomed. The premises alone are worth a visit; a bejewelled jewellery box of treasures to feast your eyes on! We used a range of high end and quality products, including Glamdolls own range of fully customisable colours and textures. There wasn’t one thing I would have changed, and the small class was kept fully engaged the full day. I didn’t feel rushed at all and Chinyee and David made time for me at the end to advise me personally on products for my kit. Thank you so much!! I will be back! 🙏
