    They promise viewings, yet they give the property before time. Worst service. Follow up: That’s a reply you could’ve given only if you’ve offered equal chances for viewing, not saying you offer me a viewing in 3 days even when I offered for viewing the same day or asap and then called me 10 hours later to say it’s not available anymore. It’s all done anyways. Have a lovely day!

    Very bad estate agent, left me without facilities to wash for months for what was a very easy fix. Refused to give any reductions on rent and then proceeded to take over £200 out of the deposit for cleaning fees as one bed hadn’t been vacuumed underneath and a shower had cleaning smears on it. I can’t understand how this was £200 worth of cleaning especially when I contacted the new tenants who said these things hadn’t been cleaned at all. When I asked for a breakdown of costs we were met with silence.

    I had a bad experience, we had viewed a 6 BHK house and we told them that we are interested in the house. We were ready to pay the deposit next day and then the agent said they gave the house to others. They don't respond well.

    Took ages to respond and fix things (toilet and shower were broken for the whole year). Problems included: broken radiators (took a month to fix), wet and damp room (caused asthma and illness, they didnt do anything), leaking toilet and shower (never fixed, sent upwards of 10 emails and went directly into the office), broken lights which were difficult to fix and more. Tried to scam us out of our deposit at the end of our tenancy. Avoid at all costs.

    If I could leave less than a star I would. Honestly the most useless student housing company I have dealt with in my 4-years of university. Firstly, we moved into a househunt house as our previous property had been bought over and the new landlord wanted us to move into a different house while he refurbished our property. We were told we would be upgraded to a luxury property for the same price. On the surface the new property was nice but became quickly apparent that it was a cowboy job, not a huge surprise for selly oak but definitely not luxury. Secondly, basic questions posed to househunt before signing the contract and then after weren’t answered and rather ignored, we asked if there was anyone else in the property we were told “I don’t know” okay brilliant. After we had moved in about a week later we discovered that the property was also used as an airbnb and that we would be responsible for keeping the communal areas clean for the Airbnb guests. Would have been great to know before signing a contract, as we wouldn’t have moved in. This didn’t come from househunt and instead from the landlord who turned up uninvited and unannounced up to 3 times a week. When we informed househunt of this we were told they would investigate the matter . Nothing ever came of this. Biggest problem for me was the awful communication from househunt. If you send an email you’ll either be told that the issue will be looked into or ignored all together, they must think because they are dealing with students they can treat them lesser than they would professional renters. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone! I have been moved out for 6-weeks now and in the office when I moved out and over email I have asked when I will get my deposit back. I was told they would look into it in person and my email has been completely ignored. It is common decency to reply to emails as a person nevermind a company which is customer service based. Painful painful painful experience.

    Househunt provided a brilliant service, with very welcoming staff. Kayleigh the agent that assisted me was lovley and made me feel comfortable, she was very reliable with her responses to emails and phone calls and any questions I had about the property. I am really impressed with the property it was finished to a very high standard and excellent value for money. I would recommend Househunt as an agency because they clearly care and prioritise customer satisfactory. As a student it is perfect for me and will be using again in the future!
