We booked the Rendezvous for a small post-wedding celebration, 60 guests, 20 staying overnight. Had the Malham suite which was really nice (pic). Great service from Monica, Olivia & Ella in the organisation of the event and it's delivery on the night. Food was superb and plentiful. Hotel organised DJ, Danny Johnson, who gave us a cracking night. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, we went for a canal view which was worth it. Hotel was modern and very clean. Many of the guests used the swimming pool and gym. Location was convenient and had ample parking. Breakfast was hot & cold buffet, delicious and plentiful, and good service. Must mention Smurf, who helped out with digital projector for us. All our guests were impressed by the whole event and the hotel. Would definately reccomend this hotel for an event or stay. Thanks to all concerned. Walkability: Nice walk into Skipton along the canal towpath.

It was ok . 1st nights sleep was appalling, the floor was more comfortable. The hotel staff tried to say it was a new mattress untill we showed them it. We were moved to a much better room. Breakfast was a joke. You must book a time. We did not want 0900hrs, 1/2 the day is gone by then. They could squeeze us in at 0730hrs. We expected it to be busy, it wasnt there were 7 others in there. Not 1 of the 3 breakfast was hot, it was only warm, fried eggs were cold. The coffee (cheap sachets) was awful. On the plus side the staff tried hard. The new room was nice and comfy consumables were replaced but the bed wasnt remade. Great location but doubtful if we would return. Nearby activities: A great gateway to the dales and moors.

Reception check in was a chore to say the least. The guy demanded a £10 deposit for 'damage to the room' He seamed put out when I refused as there will not be any 'damage to the room'. It's hotel policy apparently. Not a policy I am signing up to! If I wasn't booked on a week long course locally then I would have left at that point to stay somewhere else. As first impressions go, you could do better with a more friendly and welcoming member of staff in reception. I was made to feel like an offender instead of a valued customer. Food & drinks: Nice bar. Food not good value for money. Thai green vegetable curry £16 but just watery spice with no flavour.

I have stayed at this hotel this week as part of a group tour. The staff are very helpful and friendly. My elderly mother needs access to a walk in shower which was not available in the room we were first allocated. Staff immediately sorted this for us with a smile..no trouble at all. The hotel is on the Canalside within a mile or so of Skipton as long the tow path, a lovely walk and only a short distance from another pub in the other direction. A great location for our tours. The facilities are lovely, I enjoyed one afternoon in the steam room and pool which was quiet that day and perfect for me. The food has been absolutely first class. We had one evening dinner on board the Graceful Swan barge sailing along the canal, a lovely trip, this was a bit hit and miss to begin with but the girls fully engaged with the customers to ensure a really fun time for them. Singing and dancing...then went straight back on duty in the hotel bar as soon as we returned..they certainly earn their money..and so smiley and pleasant.

My husband has mobility issues and all the staff couldn't have been kinder and more helpful. This gave us both an excellent experience. The meals were also first rate. Noteworthy details: I have already covered the exemplary care and kindness to my disabled husband which also enabled me to have a decent rest.
