Double check your bill! Called to arrange a night's stay and a meal and was up sold to a package including both for a single price. When it came time to check out, I was quoted charges that seemed inflated. On enquiring I was told that a service charge had been applied to the drinks... But it was calculated using the total cost of the meal. They affectively added service of ~60% The receptionist was lovely and all but acknowledged the peculiarity, simply removing the service charge. Given how standard this practice of inflating charges seemed though I asked to speak to the day manager. He was less than apologetic, refused to accept it was anything other than a 12.5% service charge and was frankly a excruciatingly poor representative of a 4 star establishment. At no point prior/during our stay or at checkout did I receive a price breakdown of the package. At no point was I offered refund for courses of the meal not served (but presumably included when calculating the service charge). Not that I wanted this until I realised I was being played. All in all a terrible way to end our stay. The hotel is otherwise OK, though definitely showing signs of wear (damaged shower head, staining of shower seals, dust in high places, cracks in pillars, glassware showing excessive scratches from washing, etc). Lastly, see picture for cleanliness of linens. 2 stars simply because it could have been worse.

Bought 1 night with late check out at 1 pm and lunch. Put do not disturb on but the housekeeping kept knocking at 9 am, then again at 11:15. Receptionist called asking me to check out and had no idea what late checkout was. Restaurant had no info on the package I bought. Then they left me sitting there for 25 mins with no service, no set table, nothing. It’s a nice enough venue in good location but service is rubbish. Definitely not 4 star.

Lovely place, but staff members are quite few. They're lovely. But it can sometimes be a bit of a wait for service. Great Cannizaro Park with mazes, exotic frees and plants, exotic trees and pond, water cascades and Italian Garden. And some nice quiet secluded spots for peace and quiet and contemplation. Garden staff constantly doing a great job or up keeping the grounds and ancient herb garden hundredsnidbyears old. Beautiful fountain at the left side of the entrance gates as you leave the barriered car park. The restaurant has great views over the lawns and forested area, which are well worth exploring and great for children and adults alike. There's a hidden art workshop near the Italian Garden Inn lots of wildlife and open areas for dogs and sometimes my cat who lives to roam the estate. Foods pretty good too. Based on the West Side of Wimbledon Common. Also worth exploring the wooded areas, lakes and Windmill with Museum and adjacent Wimbledon Golf Club with bar. Great day out for a family and great standard rooms from the look of the happy residence. Not stayed the night yet, but it's very appealing. Go! You'll love it!
