The location was hard to get to and the venue was very underwhelming. It was genuinely located in a block of flats. It was hard to find as there was no sign outside. There was no flooring, just cracked stone and stickers on the unpainted walls. Further, the drinks were extremely overpriced for the tiny bar that is in the corner. Nevertheless, the staff were so lovely and helpful, especially Adam! The food was delicious and amazing portion sizes. They even gave us a complimentary mac and cheese. Would recommend you go to a different branch as the Bethnal Green one does not look like how it does on TikTok.

I decided to book my sisters birthday meal for 10 people at ‘Hot n Juicy Shrimp’s Bethnal Green restaurant. oh my gosh what a fabulous experience the food was completely scrumptious and the staff were funny, personable, yet professional and helpful nothing was too much for them. I highly recommend ‘Hot n Juicy Shrimp’ and plan to become a regular customer taking full advantage of their takeaway service. Thank you to all at ‘Hot n Juicy Shrimp’ from its creator to the kitchen and behind the scenes staff, may your business continue to grow with more branches throughout the UK and beyond. I had made a booking for a late lunch, on my way over there were train cancellations that meant I would not reach the restaurant for a minimum of 40 minutes after my reservation, so I called before the time of my booking to reschedule it for another day which I was told I would be able to do by their staff over the phone TWICE however I would have to go through their IG portal. When I got in touch I was told that I would need to reschedule my reservation 2 days in advance over circumstances I had no control over, and refused to refund my deposit. While I understand the charges for no shows and last minute cancellations for no reason are a way for a business to guarantee they dont lose a lot of money, in this case, surely unplanned train cancellations by the TFL shouldn't count as a chargeable offence. If you do decide to go lets hope you dont depend on trains for your commute. Having good food does not excuse lack pf professionalism.

Good stuff first. The food was really nice, and the sauces were delicious. It was pretty expensive, but that's seafood, especially in London. The seafood was overcooked, and most the prawns, etc... were sticking to the shell, so it made it harder to eat. However, it was still nice, so I'll let it slide. For their hot n juicy sauce, medium spice wasn't too hot, so if you want a bit of spice, hot is still a safe level and worth trying. Bad stuff. Music was loud, and I couldn't hear my partner well. Staff didn't really pay us any attention, even when we kept calling out to them. They were all friendly, but nothing worthy of a tip (we took the service charge off after we saw the size of the drinks - they were woefully small and too expensive for what you got). Worst bit. The drinks were awfully overpriced. A small cup of lemonade (not even a 330ml cans worth - we checked), £3! Ouch! We probably won't go back. We travelled across London to visit, so unless we bump into it again by coincidence, we won't go out of our way to go again. However, by all means, give it a go if you're in the area.
