The food was absolutely delicious, the staff were great and looked after our large group of 11 excellently. The atmosphere was relaxed, the interiors are beautiful. The plates were stunningly presented, flavours were fab, we weren't rushed. There're options to have multiple small plates or a starter / main / dessert, they're very flexible and there's plenty of choice - no issues even with more picky eaters in our group. Host were accommodating of a member of our group with a nut allergy. We had a lovely time and will definitely be back. It's a real Ilkley gem. Parking: On street parking free in the evenings and free for an hour during the day.

First visit to the restaurant today. We had been before for the Bini/Joel’s pop up this summer and wanted to try the actual Host experience for a sit down meal. Very good overall, we came for the Sunday lunch and it ived up to the high expectations we had.

My friend booked Host for my birthday as a surprise and I'm so pleased she did. I'd tasted Host food before during lockdown when they were offering takeaways but finally the other night I got to have a proper sit-down meal with them. Two friends had arrived before the rest of us and had been offered drinks at the bar. We were then taken to our table which was at the back in an alcove, which was nice and cosy. We were offered menus and the server swiftly brought us two bottles of water. The waitress then came to take a drinks order - no mint for mojitos but everything else was available. I ordered a salted caramel espresso martini and two arrived when I thought I'd only ordered the one. No problem, they were happy to return it and take it off the bill but I had the two anyway - hey, it was my birthday! Everyone at the table tasted the martini and we all absolutely loved the balanced flavours. I was being indecisive about what food I wanted to order and we were all having a chat with our drinks - our servers didn't rush us at all and were very patient and happy to come back to take our orders. I finally decided to go for a selection of small dishes and my friend and I shared starters. I personally tried the: anchovies (lemony and delicious), olives (massive and juicy), crab slider (petite and tasty), smoked salmon and beetroot with a lovely vinaigrette, and the pork with celeriac and toast (perfection). I ate a lot - again, it was my birthday!! I would love to come again and next time I will try the mussels as two of my friends had those and they said they were excellent. Another friend likes his burgers to be plain (no sauces/cheese etc) and the waitress/kitchen were more than happy to make adjustments. We were very kindly gifted a bottle of wine by my friend's family friends who were at another table. It was champagne but I'm afraid I didn't check what the exact make was but it was lovely and served very professionally by the young male server. I didn't try any desserts as I was totally full. At one point, we accidentally knocked over a glass onto the floor (I promise we weren't drunk, just clumsy!) The servers were very kind about it and not annoyed with us - sorry and thank you!! Overall, it was such a nice evening. The food was spectacular and some may say on the pricey side however considering the quality of the dishes, it really is excellent value for money. The portions are just right and the standard is brilliant. The atmosphere was lovely and our servers were polite, friendly, and welcoming. They also took some photos for us which was very kind and accommodating. I didn't catch any names but we visited from 8pm on 11th March and were served by a lady and two gentlemen - they are all assets to Host. Thank you for a wonderful birthday meal - we will be back!

Sadly a disappointment. My wife enjoyed the visit but I felt the menu was limited with a very poor offerring and will not return.
