I'm travelling by bicycle from Germany, touring all British and Irish isles. So far, 759.6 Km travelled. I arrived with my Brompton and trailer here thanks to a lovely fellow, saving me from a downpour. The owner of the hotel was so kind to store my Brompton and trailer securely for me. This is a very serene place. Lovely interior, very kind staff, and cosy rooms. The food selections seem basic on the start, but they mostly have a very flavoursome twist. As a former chef myself, I wish more premises would dare to take on food classics in the same way. Overall, it was a great experience for me, and if I would not be on a cycle tour, I'd love to extend to stay for a few days! Thank you very much for a great stay and a trip uphill saving me from a great struggle Rooms: Small but cosy room with window to a stream. Love it Food & drinks: It is very flavoursome and an interesting take on food classics. As a former chef myself, I loved the experience Noteworthy details: Lovely owner and staff. Very thought- and helpfull

A hidden gem! We caught the late afternoon sun in the beer garden, had an excellent meal, great beers and non alcohol cocktails (impressed) and stayed overnight in our campervan. Good vibes 👍🇭🇲

Excellent stay, was a little expensive but can not fault the service and staff. In general the place is in need of investment especially the bathrooms need updating. Food was very good.
