Continuously been ringing for 5 weeks now on my days off work to get an appointment..never get one or its in 3 weeks time over the telephone..called 111 today and they got me one and stated they would call before 6pm..no phone call..my partner rang the surgery..30mins wait on the phone only 4 people waiting..finally answered..the girl said i was still on the list to be rang..by this time it was 18:30..her phone-call to my partner lasted 60secs and her excuse was that she was now the only receptionist dealing with phone calls and walk ins..at 22:12 as i write this review i still haven't received a phone call from the surgery that 111 booked for me.. its really unprofessional and ridiculous that people have to just put up with being ill because the doctors surgeries are S**T..im sure if it was one of their family members ill they would sort them out straight away..DISAPPOINTED..and i will be moving to another doctors..the worst surgery ive ever experienced.. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

I have a few health conditions which means I go to the doctors quite a bit, I've never had a problem with the doctors or nurses, they are fantastic. However the receptionists let the surgery down. I had blood tests and called to see if the results were back, the receptionist told me my bloods were borderline and to see a doctor but it's not urgent. I didnt trust this and its a good job I didn't as I made a same day appointment to be told I'm severely anemic and have very low blood levels. The doctor herself told me she urgently needed to talk about my results. The same thing happened to my sister where the receptionist told her that her blood test results were normal and she didn't need to see a doctor, she also didn't trust this based on how she was feeling. She then found out she had 4 major issues in her blood and needed 4 different types of medication. I'm not happy as my prebookable appointment was not for another month and by that time I would have ended up very ill. Receptionists should not read out blood test results, their mistake could be fatal to someone one day. In the process of making a complaint to the surgery.

Every member of the team at Horseley Heath Surgery have always been there for me and my family. The Doctors and Nurses take the time to listen and really do make you feel at ease and cared for, like one of the family. I am so grateful to be registered at this practice. The receptionists are knowledgeable and will always do as much as they can to help too.

Holding from 8:00am, for 45mins just to be told ALL appointments are gone.. try tomorrow.. if you ever get in, it's always empty? Is this a part of an Institutional neglect? Has this surgery really swore an oath to save lives ??? Its a real shame, Dr's are good, if you get to see them! 18th in queue, held for 45mins.. but never get to speak to an Operator for more than 30 second??? (is it tea break after every call! :)

I am always able to get an appointment when calling at 8 or a choice to go to another practice from the group if there is nothing available. I always have problems when ordering my prescription. I am on a medication for life and each time I order I have to wait over a week for the prescription to be issued. Many times I have run out of medication because of that, which is dangerous for me. I have mixed feelings about the practice, but if you don't have a condition you need regular medication for I can recommend it.

This is my sister’s GP, thankfully not mine!! She has been under their “care” (if you can call it that) for high BP and related issues. I was gobsmacked to hear that she attended an appointment today where she raised another medical issue before discussing her BP, etc, so the GP would only speak to her about that issue and told her it’s one ailment per appointment. This beggars belief given that she had to book today’s appointment before Christmas!!
