I’m a therapist in a nursing home & only wish our patient residents were with Horncastle. Very responsive. Ask my GP runs smoothly & queries are responded to very quickly by the reception team which I find reassuring. I’ve had no issues seeking either health guidance or obtaining a doctors appointment. Being dealt with my query via phone or email is excellent. Saving me having to take time off work when busy. The dispensary staff are first class. Despite knowing some of the staff I still get asked DOB & 1st line of address. My meds are always ready on time. Again queries dealt with promptly (extra meds for holiday). I was hugely impressed with infection control methods during the covid crisis. Well done team.

The whole team at this surgery were brilliant to us. On holiday with a poorly little girl and no other GP prepared to see us. Horncastle went out of their way to help when no one else would. They were kind and calm when I was exhausted. We are so grateful, thank you

I am not a patient but I have had many dealings with these doctors as my elderly mother is registered with them. They are completely unhelpful, they repeatedly tell me they will mark my request as urgent then fail to contact me. Assuring me they will call me back, that the person I need to speak to is busy, is a continuous theme.

(FAO Horncastle Med Group management team) - I have edited this review to reply to you. I tried to phone this morning, but was on hold for over 16 minutes and I really didn’t want to take a call space up any longer, in case someone needed it urgently. What I would say, is to maybe spot check your reception more frequently. It’s happened on numerous occasions and continues to happen, so I’m sure you’ll see and hear what you need to. Maybe some extra training on people skills would benefit this member of staff. Like I said, it’s such a shame as it really is a wonderful practice). - - Original post to follow: Brilliant practice - but like a few other reviews on here, there is one really rude receptionist. She was on the desk again this morning (8/10/2020). She really needs to learn some manners and show a bit of respect towards patients. The way she spoke to an elderly, infirm gentleman was unacceptable - and to everyone else too. Not acceptable. Please remember that these are difficult times for everyone - you need to show patience and respect towards patients.
