We had the pleasure of doing some work at Hopton Cottage a few weeks ago and if we were blown away by the quality of the home, we were absolutely amazed at the quality of the care provided. In our line of work you get to see 'behind the scenes' and it was great to see the care and attention provided to residents 24/7 by the entire team. Kind, caring, compassionate, attentive, sensitive, understanding.....you could list the superlatives all day long but one thing is for sure - when the time comes we want our rooms booked at Hopton Cottage!

When I am older I would love to live in a modern, purpose-built home where there is lots going on, where staff smile and greet you as you walk in, where they get to know your hobbies and interests and are ready to put an arm around those who may be upset about something. I’d also like to feel part of that family by being included in decision-making and by being involved in activities in the wider community too. I want to live in a home where the activities co-ordinator says “I’m glad you’re back from your walk because the Shetland pony’s just coming down in the lift!” My Father says he is “ Happy Harry at Hopton” and I would be happy there too!

My mother has lived here for almost two and a half years and is very happy here. The home is spotlessly clean, the meals excellent and the staff very caring. There is a programme of activities to both encourage the residents to keep fit and healthy and also to entertain. I am happy to know she is happy and well looked after. Frances Stott

The staff at Hopton Cottage Care Home are great. My mum is treated with dignity and kindness. Any requests I make are seen to. Mum is content and sees the other residents as family. I am able to relax as she is so well looked after.

Put Mum in thinking she was near her final weeks after a seriously deteriorating time at Dewsbury Hospital. Due to the extremely good care at Hopton Care Cottages Mum recovered amazingly and is still with us two years later. The staff go beyond what you would expect and they treat all the ”Guests” like family. Couldn't have wished for more. Thank you to all the team. Irene's family.
