Can't go wrong. Good quality gourmet burgers at a reasonable price point. Service is average. Majority of times I've been to this branch it's been understaffed for the amount of takeaway's and sit-in diners going through this place. I also had one instance where they completely fluffed the rarity of the burger and was practically raw inside when asking for medium-rare. So from that point I don't even specify and let the chefs cook it their way. Otherwise, the burgers are hearty, the rosemary chips are extra crispy and flavoursome pairing exceptionally well with the bacon gravy which slaps! The onion rings are probably some of the best I've had. The batter has the most sublime crisp and flavour. They have an excellent selection of different burgers to try and a local and monthly special to keep things fresh. Drinks are great too! One thing I'd definitely recommend is NOT getting a double burger - it's just too overbearing...

Should change their name to dishonest burger. What an absolute sham of a meal. If you want good take away burgers in St Albans get Smoky Boys. My girlfriend ordered this through take away, it took 2 hours to come, was cold, missing the extras we had ordered, and was terrible quality. I’ve never even had a burger this bad from Mac Donald’s. I asked for extra cheese, but didn’t even have an acceptable amount to be “normal” cheese. We’d been charged £3.50 for that “extra” portion too. I had to re-cook my burger with extra cheese of my own to make it edible. Some of the worst chips we’ve ever had too. If you’re going to make customers wait 2+ hours for food, make sure it’s good when it arrives. Being busy isn’t an excuse for poor service. We informed the restaurant and received a partial refund for the extras we didn’t receive. The refund should have been full and should have been offered another meal on the house to make up for an evening ruined by waiting and disappointment.

Surprisingly dirty, even the glasses weren't clean, toilets would have been condemend ! Food was very greasy and warm even though we pre-ordered 15 minutes before we arrived giving arrival time. Been to lots of Honest Burgers before and this one would make me think about ever visiting one again !
