The technician at home serve damaged my flooring while replacing my sofa legs from SLF24. After waiting 3-4 months for quotations etc I was given the go ahead to repair the flooring and told I would be compensated upon providing an invoice however they failed to tell me that I would need to provide third party contracts and proof of materials, once I had submitted the invoice to get reimbursement as promised I was told that’s not possible as the company that carried out the work are not responding to them so I can not get compensated for the £850 I spent for their own technicians mistake. It has taken me 8 months back and forth and now I have involved the financial ombudsman to intervene. Homeserve does not have the slightest decency to respond to the 5 emails sent to the claim handler, and Manager Alan Warner. This company has given me so much stress, anxiety, and grief! Never ever use this company!

Complete scammers. They didn't do anything about my sofa which smells terribly bad and makes noises. This "technician" Darren is a liar, he just denies the truth just to defend greedy companies. He wanted me to sign something that says that the couch does not smell, and he left my house in a bad way. This company is terrible and the people who work for them, even more.

Only spoke to customer service. That was enough, just plain rude. If they had/have received training, it aint working. If you have no manners and just don't give a fig about the caller, don't do a job on customer service help desk, the clue is in the title. SHAMEFUL

We got a very fast and efficient visit and quote for a complicated sofa repair, and the technician who came to do the repair did an excellent and professional job, was respectful, considerate and thorough. But he said that the detailed work that was documented in the quote was not correct and actually found a much better and faster way to do the work - which was still 100% robust. It took only half the time quoted. When I contacted the co-called customer service center to complain that the original quote was misleading and should be partially credited, they were very unhelpful and defensive. A person called Liam just kept hiding behind unhelpful "management responses". I would have given them a 5 star review, but this deceptive quoting process is a scam, as you are totally in their hands to decide whether the quote is accurate or not - be warned.

Did a great job, reported my reclining chair to Oak Furniture Land that had a mechanical issue, send some pics to them, Homeserve ordered parts directly to my house, a week later we had the parts and an engineer, all done!

Read the other poor reviews before using this company!! I asked to be contacted by email as I have no signal during the day - I was left voicemails on multiple occasions. I had to pay a £66 call out fee to be sent a gruff technician that took a few pictures of my dining table and then told me "we don't deal with antiques - you need an antique specialist." Trying to make the best of a bad situation, I asked him to take a look at two cracked spindles on my hall chair which needed some wood glue "I can't do that - I'm only insured for the job I was sent out to do." (At £66 per job, of course he was!!) To cover the companies back, I was asked to confirm into a tape recorder the reasons the technician was unable to complete the job - I was very unhappy at this point but did it just to get the man out of my house. The whole set up reeks of a big company trying to extort money from the little man.
