Living here is the worst financial mistake I have ever made. There is no security and no reception- which is obviously not warned on the website. This place is essentially a scam for the location (which a why I’m even giving it two stars). The lift has never worked and will probably never work again because of the horrible maintenance. I have not had hot water for a week and this is a weekly occurrence. I have called everyday and even gone IN PERSON to Parkview to complain- and still NOTHING. Nothing ever gets fixed here. I have a smell in my bathroom that never goes away and has been here since the day I moved in again- has never been fixed. Since day one out flat has not had a bin nor coffee table (all things staged in the lovely pictures on the website-SCAM! )These things were promised to us and still no one has done anything to give us these things. I’m extremely angry and disappointed at how much a student accommodation can cost this much and yet does not care the slightest about the people who live in it.

I stayed here from Oct 2020 to Aug 2021. Here's what happened during my stay: - There was no hot water from the shower in my bathroom for the first five months. I reported it more than three times, but nothing changed. I asked for a different room, at least just for taking a shower, but they said the whole building was fully booked. It turned out two rooms in my flat were empty during my stay there. - The lift only worked until mid-October 2020. Afterwards, it was broken until I moved out, so I had to carry all the luggage myself from the third floor. - I once got locked out of the building in the middle of the night because the front door was broken. Since there was no receptionist in the building, I had to call the 24-hour call centre, but the person answering the phone said they could only fix it the following day, and they told me to ask my friend to open the door for me from the inside. It still had not been resolved the next morning. - I often found strangers—probably homeless sleeping or sitting right in front of the main door. My friend even saw them inside the building, in the laundry room. I once saw people going inside just to eat in the stairs leaving trash behind. - On the move out day, they promised they would come to my room for inspection. They did not come. They rescheduled it. They did not come again and finally asked me to just leave the keys in the room. I must say the service really needs improvement. - I'm now waiting landlord response to deposit repayment, which I have requested since three weeks ago. Two stars for the great location, friendly staff (especially Neil and the guy who checked the water on my flat), and the many events the teams tried to hold during these unusual times even though they were on Park View, which is quite far from Manchester House. Bear in mind. There is no front desk in this building, so you have to receive your package on your own.

Stayed here for a year but the service is really bad. There was a mouse in my bathroom because there is a big hole in the toilet but they only sort it after more than a month of report and lots of following up. My flatmate's room is leaking and is never fixed. The elevator has never worked throughout my stay, so you have to carry all your big luggages and boxes through the stairs yourself. Today, even the front door of the building is broken and we cannot get in even with keys. Take note there are no reception in this building so there are no one who could receive your parcel, so you have to be at home to receive parcels Not a pleasant accomodation experience and the only good thing is the location that is near campus.

Came to view with my daughter and the young lady who showed us round was great. Very funny and put us at ease. We also viewed Park View as this is where the office for Manchester House is and we have some thinking to do! Manchester House is great for location but as a parent I felt that the team at Park View were all so friendly. Will definitely be booking one of the locations with Homes For Students.
