I first used them around 5-6 years ago for first time buy. I had frequent contact, everythin was smooth. Naturally... I went back to them 5-6 years later for the second move. I ignored the negative reviews as I had first hand experience with them. I should not have ignored the reviews.... this firm is a joke. Firstly, forget communication. That's non-existent. Now factor in multiple failings, solicitors not turning up for work and other solicitors in the firm have no idea where yours is. Mine never EVER called back, even once no matter how many times I requested. I've never actually spoken to her at all the entire time. (6-8months) I don't know what has happened to this firm.... but the solicitor I was assigned last time at NBM is no longer working there it seems - perhaps he was the only good one? Anyway, shocking service - DO NOT USE!

Absolutely shocking company. One of my clients is using them to buy an apartment and the communication is absolutely terrible. The completion dates have been pushed back time after time. I am from an estate agents selling the apartment and Me The vendor The vendors solicitor The buyer himself All struggle ti get in contact and they are very slow and never get back to you. The property is likely to fall through due to the lack of contact and speed. Every time I ring, I never get through and they never ring back nor do they respond to emails. If you do somehow get through, they are either on their lunch or they are working from home and cannot speak. My client had said he will never ever use them again and will tell people to stay well clear.

I wish I had read the reviews before using them, I am completing today and my solicitors has asked for a last minute documents and disappeared into thin air. Each day outside completion will cost me money.Don't listen to the welcome team, they will sweet talk you into using them. Utterly disappointed at this company. They set you up for failure

Communication with these lawyers is impossible. Communication is fine with the welcome team, but as soon as you are passed onto the lawyer it is impossible to speak to someone. The most frustrating thing is that after the phone rings off, you are asked to leave a message after the tone....but the call hangs up immediately after the tone! So you think you're leaving a message but in actual fact you are speaking to yourself. Buying and selling a house in England is stressful enough and it is made significantly worse when it is impossible to get through to your lawyer. They did everything in the end but I had such a poor experience with this firm that I will certainly not use them again

Selling air and false security. Dont bother purchasing additional services from them, as soon as you need it, those papers cease to exist. In fact I would not buy anything from them at all.

0 stars in actuality! If you want to have a quick service with helpful legal staff, AVOID THIS FIRM. However if being spoken to rudely and lied to constantly, having money stolen and withheld from you, emails, phone calls and complaints ignored and for the process to drag on for almost a year seems like your kind of legal counsel, hire NBM! I could seldom get in touch with my actual conveyancer and when I did, he constantly lied about completion dates, giving me I believe 2 before my third and final one. He said one minute that I could complete in July but he couldn't set a date for me himself, then proceeded to set a date in August without contacting me. Lied about various forms I needed to fill in. Had to go to a small claims court to finally get them to give me money they'd withheld from me for absolutely no reason. I had a cashback option and £300 of that was stolen by the firm. Extremely expensive for terrible service. Charged £100 for an expedite fee and the matter is still ongoing as solicitor is refusing to give the land registry documentation to the management company of the flat i purchased. Have thus far ignored the official complaint I have sent to them. Staff don't understand basic telephone etiquette and put the phone down on you first chance they can get. Conveyancer tries to get you to do his job for him. Serious breaches of client confidentiality as they tried to send me information regarding my dad and various checks they'd made on him, asking me to contact him to sign forms (he was the seller). Refused to contact sellers solicitors on multiple occasions and had a general IDGAF attitude to work. You could not pay me to have any further dealings with this firm.

Absolutely awful! If I could give a 0 star review I would, I originally contacted NBM solicitors in November 2021 to sell my house, the start of the process was relatively easy, with them asking me to submit documents such as fixtures and fittings, etc. However the issue came when my original buyer pulled out and I changed buyers. My estate agents had emailed them to let them know that the buyer had changed submitting a notice to them. They completely disregarded this and contuinued to progress with the original buyer. This went on for 2 months! I called them after speaking to my estate agent that there had been no acknowledgement of the new buyer. It was in this phone call where I was berated over the phone for not calling them to inform them. As a first time seller I don't understand how they expected me to know this. The person who I won't name here was very snotty over the phone, blaming me for their mistake. All NBM did was drag their feet. I had to chase everything, it was myself that was contacting my estate agent to get in touch with the buyers solicitor to ask them what they needed and then send it through the estate agent to the buyers solicitor. NBM solicitors were not passing on any documents that I sent to them without constant chasing from myself, the estate agent and the buyers solicitor. It was absolutely ridiculous. For the amount that you pay to use them you would expect a better quality of service and some manners from their staff. There seems to be a major disconnect in this firm as I only spoke to the conveyancer assigned to my case once, otherwise I spoke to someone else or was informed that he wasn't available and that I would need to speak to someone else. Avoid them like the plague!
