Emma and Carly have just finished day 2 at my home, helping me get it ready for sale and enabling me to consider moving into a new home with far less storage. The transformation is already amazing with so much gone that I will genuinely never miss; they have helped me to ethically discard and list for sale a huge amount of my belongings and have set me up with a plan and the confidence to continue to sell the rest of my clothing hoard in the next couple of weeks. I’m a very house proud person I like my house to look clean and presentable but organisation is not my forte! I’m the kind of person that shoves things in a cupboard and shuts the door! I have a son who was soon to turn 4 and I had been shoving toys in boxes for over 3 years not throwing (or giving away) one thing since he was born. I ran out of space and had no where to store new toys that he would be given for his birthday. The thought of having to sort through 16 boxes of crammed toys just felt too overwhelming for me and I didn’t know where to start. In came these guardian angels to save the day! They were so friendly and made me feel comfortable straight away after a quick coffee and a chat explaining what I needed from them they spun into action I sat on my sofa relaxed with a cake in hand as they sifted through all the toys checking in with me the whole time keeping me a part of the process. Within a couple of hours it was done! I had pictures of toys to sell online, a few bags for charity and neat and organised space for me and my son, I was amazed by it all. The biggest change I have noticed is in my sons play. He keeps the boxes organised as now everything has a place, his attention span is so much better he is playing for longer periods of time with toys before putting them away and the conclusion I made was that maybe he was a bit overwhelmed by it all previously as well. I can’t thank Carly and Emma enough for the help they gave me and I will definitely be using them again to tackle my kitchen drawers and my wardbrobe!!

These two wonderful decluttering angels have been helping me on a mammoth declutter after 20 years! On top of which I have a chronic illness so not very mobile. Emma and Carly have been amazing so understanding. We started with my nightmare wardrobe of clothes varying from size 12 to very large! I was so overwhelmed at the very thought and had tried to ignore it for way too long. Well, it was incredible we managed to donate an obscene amount of clothes to charity and friends. I had been hanging onto stuff but not wearing it, hoping I would shrink again! They were so reassuring and now all my clothes are in one cupboard as opposed to everywhere ie the loft etc. I can clearly see what I have and what I actually use. It was like finding a whole new range of clothes! Everything is now arranged in lovely categories and I can see what I have! Thank you so so much. We are not stopping there. They will be helping me with my whole flat so watch this space for my next updates! Lounge, kitchen and loft…there is no stopping us now Its so wonderful having these lovely ladies’ help and support, I have been desperate for this for so long. It’s like being with friends they have such a lovely way of actually making decluttering a bit fun dare I say! I highly recommend them. 20 million stars. I was first referred to Home Style Essex by a friend. I had just moved into my flat and I was put in contact with Emma who was very helpful and friendly. She was flexible in organising a time to come over and have a look at my flat to get an idea of what they could do. When Emma and Carly arrived, they were very observant of COVID with masks and gloves. They recommended drawer organiser and hangers that helped me used my space so much more efficiently. They did all the rooms including the kitchen and bathroom. Whenever they stored items away, they explained why it made the most sense to be there eg. Pots/pans/cooking ingredients near the hob, plates and cutlery near the washing machine. When they left, all my surfaces were clear and everything was stored away neatly. It’s so easy to keep everything this way because it just makes sense! When my girlfriend moved in, I had to get them back to sort her out as well. They made that look easy (even though she had A LOT of stuff!) but even now everything has its place and we still have storage to spare! Thanks Home Style Essex, 5 Stars!
