Gorgeous mid-week (May half-term) wander around Down House. Despite being half-term it was tranquil and relaxing. Highly recommend the Cream Tea. Beautiful home made scones and lovely friendly staff all around the property and grounds. Almost on our doorstep and we'll visit more frequently to see it change over the seasons.

Very interesting location with a lot of history. The explanations about Darwin’s life are very digestible and not too dry, yet providing you with a lot of information. The house and the garden itself are also beautifully maintained. I wouldn’t mind living there myself to be honest! The staff were all equally friendly, helpful and delightful.
