  I currently work for Home Instead in Folkestone. I have various clients in and around Ashford. I was matched to them based on interests and personality. It’s a real family feel company, in a lone working role it can be quite isolating. Especially through COVID. However, the weekly updates, meetings and constant phone calls - keeps you informed and you feel a part of a team. I’ve never worked in a care role. But I chose to do this through lockdown whilst my family drove me crazy at home! It has been the most rewarding role I have ever worked in my life! My clients are so grateful when I arrive at their homes and once you build a relationship with your clients, it’s like visiting a family member. Would highly recommend Home Instead Folkestone.

  I can't say enough about the care and attention and dignity Home Instead provided for my husband who has mild dementia. The staff were all wonderful - very personable and friendly. They checked the living situation thoroughly to ensure it was a safe environment for my husband. They took into account our specific needs as my husband is able to do most of his self-care but needed help with transportation to shops and doctor's appointments, and with taking his medication. Kishore listened to our specific needs and tailored a program to suit our situation. They were always kind and considerate, even when my husband repeated his requests because he forgot what he said. The were extremely patient and thoughtful, and attentive to his every need. They listened to him talk about his childhood. He couldn't have had better treatment by anyone else. And they provided real value for money. I would recommend Home Instead Senior Care (Folkestone, Hythe & Ashford) to anyone without hesitation.

  My 97-year-old mother had been living independently up until the summer of 2019. However, following a fall which entailed a brief stay in hospital followed by 3 weeks in rehabilitation it became apparent that her living arrangements would have to change. My brother and I therefore explored the possibility of visiting carers. Home instead came highly recommended from an independent source. We subsequently visited their office in Cheriton where we were really impressed with the friendly reception we received. An appointment was made for someone from management within the company to visit with my mother at home. Both she and the family were so impressed that we put together a plan of action going forward. To date my mother has been supported by Home Instead for the last 6 months. We cannot speak highly enough of their professionalism and care. Nothing is too much trouble, and this is of great comfort to myself and my brother as neither of us live locally. At a time of national crisis, it is immensely reassuring to know that my mother is receiving the best care. There are no words to thank them enough for all that they do.

  My mother is in early stages of dementia & she stays with me 5 days a week then goes home for weekend & this is when the Homestead team step in from the word go I was impressed with the the way they operate they initially came to my home to speak to my mother & speak to her not once did they patronise her by speaking to me about her while she in room in fact they only wanted to speak to her not me. The following week they went to her home to do risk assessment & ask what she like to eat & when. She was assigned 2 carers to start with then gradually they introduced a 3 so she only has those. The office staff are always cheerful & extremely helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend this company.

  A con company they take carers on for the training last year and took ten staff on with just four clients, a bit like having a sweet shop with lots of sweets but no customers, when I questioned them about available work.i was told abruptly that they will throw my job application in the bin by a very rude man who owns the company, avoid this company at all costs, rubbish
