Terrible learning atmosphere for college students. Don't think it's good for A-Levels, it's not. Staff put a huge amount of pressure on students and the only reason for the high pass rate is because failing students are kicked out, rather than supported. The college tries to assume to an old-fashioned traditional approach, which sounds good on paper, but is only an excuse for the staff to "demand respect" in a weird and insecure attempt to control students. Was good around 5 years ago when it was in the top 10, but is only going downhill.

The atmosphere is awful as teachers don't support their students but, instead, they put a lot pressure on them! What is more, they 100% pasa rate is because they kick out the student who don’t perform as well as they should after a first year. What is worth to acknowledge is that they do not do the official AS Exams, just the internal examinations so if students will not pass it they are forced to leave the college with no qualification after a whole year of studying. It is a myth of that the college is good as according to the newest Ofsted report they are ranked as 3 like Bury College. It is not an achievement to collect all good students from High Schools and be proud of their fantastic results, the achievement is when the college do make a ordinary student outstanding.
