Speak as You find.. Fantastic service without any shadow of Doubt I forgot to order repeat medication and last night at 22.00hrs remembered so I sent in a medication request. Yes I was worried about having to go a few days over the weekend without medication I called into the reception today and my overnight worries were needless. The very pleasant receptionist informed me that the Medication request had been signed off and sent to the pharmacist at 0900hrs.. Absolutely wonderful service from all Involved Very Many Thanks.. I can now leave for Flanders Fields Memorial early on Monday morning as planned..

We have used Holmhurst for seven years now and have had three children in the past five years - parents will know how much time can be spent at the surgery due to regular appointments as well as responding to poorly children. Holmhurst has consistently provided us with an amazing service. For example, our son recently presented with tonsilitis. Within two hours of submitting the form to ask for an appointment we were back home with the necessary antibiotics, in that time having been to the surgery, assessed, prescribed and dispensed. This sort of experience is the norm - we are moving away shortly and we'll really be sad to be leaving behind such a reliable, friendly and efficient service delivered by the lovely doctors.

Negligent. Have spent the past 3 weeks bringing in specimen samples. Initially prescribed the wrong antibiotics with no follow-up because they failed to send the first sample to pathology. Got the right antibiotics but the course was too short as the symptoms have persisted/gotten worse. They then lost a specimen sample that needed urgent testing. On bringing a another one in to the surgery, I explained the situation to the receptionist and was visibly stressed and upset. She spent the entire exchange smirking and trying to brush me off. Not had a single call from the doctor. Will be moving to a new surgery.

Difficult to find, but clean and modern. Checked in but was left waiting for 45 minutes without any warning or explanation for the delay. It doesn't cost anything to show a little curtesy and keep people informed.

Requested an appointment this morning on the website, easy process, pleasantly surprised to get a same day appointment ! The doctor I saw was both helpful and knowledgeable and alleviated my concerns. Am now booked to see the nurse next week for bloods-the whole process was smooth and faultless. I truly don't know why people criticise the NHS and why this surgery has so many poor reviews- too many ungrateful people out there!

We have been with this practice for many years and sadly they have gone seriously downhill. They have a tendency now to be impressively dismissive. There is never an excuse for dismissing a patient's worries or concerns regardless of how trivial the GP might think it is. We had this attitude from two separate GPs at this practice. On two recent occasions now a concern having been dismissed as 'not a priority' being referred to A&E by 111. At the hospital the matter was taken very seriously and now things are happening. The Practice is now the subject of a formal complaint by the Social Services.
