At Holmesdale Bowls Club, the membership fees vary depending on the type of membership you choose. We offer full membership for £130 per year, social membership for £20 per year, and junior membership for £10 per year. Our fees are competitive compared to other lawn bowls clubs in the area.

There are no age restrictions for joining Holmesdale Bowls Club, and we welcome members of all ages. However, we do recommend that children under the age of 12 are accompanied by a responsible adult while on the premises.

What type of lawn bowls equipment is provided by the club, and what equipment should I bring?

Holmesdale Bowls Club provides all the necessary equipment for playing lawn bowls, including bowls, mats, jacks, and scorecards. However, we recommend that you bring your own bowls if you have them, as this will allow you to get used to the weight and feel of the same set of bowls for consistent play.

What type of social events or competitions does the club host throughout the year?

Throughout the year, Holmesdale Bowls Club hosts a range of social events and competitions for members to enjoy. These include friendly matches against other local clubs, internal club competitions, and social events such as quiz nights, barbecues, and Christmas parties. We also run regular coaching sessions for members who want to improve their skills.

What are the hours of operation, and how busy does the club tend to get on weekdays versus weekends?

Holmesdale Bowls Club is open from 10am to dusk, seven days a week during the summer season (April to September). During the winter season (October to March), the club is open from 10am to 2pm, seven days a week. The club tends to be busier on weekends, especially on sunny days, but there is usually plenty of space for members to play during the week. We recommend booking a rink in advance to avoid disappointment.

Lovely people. A very friendly club. Decent amount of parking right by the Clubhouse. The green was better than decent, but not excellent, though I am comparing it with my own Club where I am spoilt by the standard of the green. I had a very enjoyable afternoon's bowls at Holmesdale.
