  Holmes Landscapes were 5 star. 4 men for 4 weeks, very professional, trustworthy and reliable also the work is to a very high standard. All work was monitored so that timescales were achieved and most days exceeded our expectations. They have transformed our tired overgrown garden into a beautiful fresh contemporary space and looks especially amazing with the lights on in the evening. I would not hesitate to recommend Ben and his team to anyone.

  Holmes Landscapes did a landscaping and driveway job in the next road to us. I stopped and chatted to Ben and his team and they were really nice lads. They did an excellent job and told them I’d never seen anything so neat and perfect. I would definitely recommend Homes Landscapes to anyone looking for an impressive job.

  I engaged with Holmes Landscape after a recommendation and constantly seeing their vans in the areas! Ben and the team completely transformed and re landscaped my back garden, and I have recommended them to so many people. Not only did they help me choose materials to match my vision (and be bold enough to say what wouldn’t work!) they also went above and beyond and out of their way to source reclaimed materials from miles away! My vision was definitely not in line with their normal contemporary work and they smashed it. They also worked around my diary and committed to do the work whilst I was in holiday to minimise disruption for me, that they absolutely didn’t have to. They did an amazing job, and even corrected work done around a leaking drain that United utilities cemented around, even when I told them they didn’t need to, as 48 hours later it would be dug up anyway! I couldn’t speak more highly of the team, who came back and corrected an unforeseen draining issue from putting in a fence at the bottom and it hasn’t happened since. I would 100% recommend holmes landscape to anyone looking for gardening services!

  Had ben aswell as a few others round to have a look at the garden, he was above all the most passionate about his work and the most professional, he was punctual, honest and helpful. The work was completed on target and it was immaculate, ive had Neighbours and passersby knock on and ask who has done the work and could they have the details, i would highly recommend ben and he is known locally for his professionalism and high quality work, thanks ben and team at holmes landscapes. We will be in touch for the front garden asap. Chris and claire.

  Very bad experience with Holmes Landscapes & Garden Maintenance. Ben came and quoted us for our landscaping project. He initially showed great flexibility and reassured us that he would work with us and work out some of the finer details as well as some ground works required as the project went along. Also, we already knew him from a previous project. What followed was a very bad experience to say the least. He requested an advance payment of several thousand pounds. He and his colleagues did one days work at the beginning of February 2023 dropping off materials and doing some ground works. Then the works stopped, and after some back-and-forth, and nothing happening for 4 weeks, Ben sent us a WhatsApp message informing us that he had just returned from holiday and that he would not be returning to complete our project in favour of another contract which in his own words was too good an opportunity to miss. We were completely shocked. After some more back-and-forth, we eventually decided that there was no way we could trust Ben to complete our project as he had lost all our trust and confidence. We also discovered that the materials he delivered were substandard and inadequate for the works that needed to be done. We requested a full refund of the advance payment and the removal of all the materials that were dropped off from our property, which by then had been left there for more than six weeks and were blocking our driveway. Ben did not agree to give us a full refund and in the end came and removed some of the materials only, leaving others for us to remove and incur the cost for the removal. Ben not completing our project means that we will not have much needed outdoor space this summer and have less funds for getting it done. Ben took a huge amount of money off us for zero work done towards completing the project. We have written to him and made him aware that he breached contract. We also sought advice from Citizens Advice and it transpired that Ben’s actions are in breach of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Trading Standards. As a consequence he should give us a full refund and actually also pay us compensation for the stress and months and months of delay he has caused us by dumping us. It goes without saying that we do not recommend Ben and Holmes Landscapes & Garden Maintenance.
