Can you provide me with a certificate of cremation for my pet?

Yes, we provide a certificate of individual cremation that confirms your pet's identification and the date of the cremation.

How do you ensure that only my pet's remains are returned to me after cremation?

We use a tracking system to ensure that your pet's remains are identified and tracked throughout the cremation process. We also perform a visual inspection of the ashes to confirm their identity before returning them to you.

Matthew, Thank you for your support when we lost our precious little Patti last week. We are grateful that you took over everything for us, especially collecting Patti from Tern Vets. She had become quite frail during her last year, but into her 23rd year, she was most entitled to be so. Her health did fail quite suddenly in the end. We had made our decision to use your service last year, liking everything we saw about you and your facility, plus many positive reviews. It was a good decision, in such a peaceful location. We chose the white tall cat urn which it is beautiful. Thank you for explaining its construction. Having Pattis ashes home has contributed greatly to our healing. We really appreciate your kindness and understanding at such a sad time.

I first visited Holmes in Heaven in 2018 with my big fur lad 8yrs old who had lost his fight to cancer and again in 2022 with my fur girl 19yrs old such a sad time but what a beautiful and peaceful place. I could not fault Rupert both times he was outstanding. I would without a doubt recommend Holmes in Heaven for your fur babies final journey. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness and understanding.

We suffered a very sudden and unexpected loss of out 10 year old lovebird, on the day our lovebird passed away I called Holmes and he was nothing but sympathetic and helpful, due to the sudden loss of our lovebird he made arrangements for my us to take our lovebird to him and he would cdo the cremation on the same day when we arrived with our passed on lovebird he was nothing but respectful and very sympathetic to us even when I was crying my eyes out, he was very understanding, 1 day after we went to pick up our beloved lovebird and he was packed lovely and really respectfully, his ashes were packed and wrapped in tissue paper inside an organza bag, and when we picked him up he cam with a cremation certificate and a lovely little paper heart that you can plant in memory of your animal. When we went to collect he was again really respectful and mades sure we were alright after the sudden death. With any future animals I have I will definitely be using Holmes again, he is very respectful and very understanding about how you feel when animals pass away. I will 100% recommend Holmes over any other animal cremation

We were devastated when our Labrador Retriever recently passed away but Holmes in Heaven helped to lessen the pain by giving him a good send off. Matthew was very friendly, caring, sympathetic and professional and the crematorium is located in beautiful surroundings. Excellent service

What a lovely service at such a sad time. Matthew was amazing and very sympathetic and understanding. We Love the pawprint especially and our 3 key rings , Matthew was very efficient , we had our Arthur’s ashes back within 2/3 days. I Would highly recommend to use , the area is lovely and the chapel of rest very peaceful. I know Arthur would have liked to run around the area. Thank you Matthew

*** Since posting this review *** we have been contacted by the owner, who apologized for all the inconvenience and bad experience. We ware assured that they will definitely improve their service and offered us a partial refund which we thought was a nice gesture. *** We were greeted by a guy with a creepy smile that just wouldn't stop smiling even though we were devastated and in tears over the loss of our beloved furry family member. We were immediately offered all sorts of extras to the service like fancy ash cans, paw printing and fur cutting etc which, frankly, was a shameless sale and an attempt to top up our bill. We just wanted our beloved pet to be cremated with dignity and respect but we were not given the opportunity to attend the ceremony and were told the service was 48h which we thought was quite a long wait even though we were told the cremation process takes couple of hours itself. But what really shocked us was that we were told our pet's ashes would be left outside the office in a box for us to collect like unwanted garbage. We paid extra for the instant cremation service, and we still had to wait over 34 hours to collect the ashes and there is no guarantee that what we have collected was actually our pet's ashes. The office was closed on our arrival, even though it was mid day. We were told they cremate between 5 and 10 animals a day, which according to our calculations is a turnover of around £ 2,000-4,000 a day, so why can't they afford to hire someone to be there, greet customers and handle the ash with dignity and respect?

Would not use again, also had a similar experience being eventually greeted by a man with a creepy grin and closed upon arrival. I had to phone up as was waiting outside for 20 minutes after being told our pet would be left in the collection bin outside. It felt very inappropriate, like no care was taken and he was only concerned whether we had paid the bill on my 2 interactions with him. Was charged almost double what the vet who recommended said it would and very difficult to find the place with no signage on the road leading up to the venue. Perhaps had we been sold any extras more sympathy and care would have been shown!

We recently suffered the heartbreaking loss of both of our Chocolate Labradors either side of Christmas. Brothers from the same litter, Bailey & Coco, lived an amazing 16 action packed years. They were the cornerstone of our family life so we thought long and hard as to how to give them the most sympathetic and respectful end to their lives. This was achieved by having them put to sleep cradled in my arms at home on the comfort of their favourite beds and then having an individual cremation at Holmes in Heaven. I wanted to be the only person handling my dogs at such a sensitive time and this culminated in me dropping my boys off with Matthew Holmes for the final part of their journey. Matthew’s professionalism shone through in the understanding of our situation and it reassured me that Bailey and Coco were going to be treated with the respect they deserved. The set up at The Crematorium is very calming & sympathetic and I left them there knowing they were in safe hands. Within a couple of days we had our boys back at home in a lovely wooden urn and they now sit together side by side as they had done all of their lives. - Steven Davies
