Only giving 1 because I can't give 0. Shocking place. I played recently as part of a society. The course was in a terrible state, fairways not cut, rough too long, green's some of the worst I have ever seen in 20 year's of playing golf. Most of the members were ignorant and rude. The only saving grace was the catering staff. The clubhouse is old and tired and in need of redevelopment. Wouldn't go there again if you paid me.

Played the course recently, but unfortunately the greens made the round unplayable. Most the greens we played had bumpy lines across the greens making the ball bobble. My ball plugged twice on the greens they were so slow and inconsistent. A couple of tee boxes are also overgrown and very similar length of grass to the rough . Shame because if they had good greens and tidied the tee box's up would be a great course. I understand that course maintenance can be a difficult, but the course was empty and the inconsistent conditions of the greens and overgrown tee boxes were significant enough to impact my overall experience on the course.

I played here previously 5 years ago and remember it being a really well laid out track with a few really memorable holes, so I was really looking forward to returning. The reason I've only given 3 stars this time is for the general condition of the course considering it's now the start of April. The greens in particular were incredibly poor, with a few bare patches on many of them, but the grass was way too long and they were horribly bobbly. The number of putts that jumped around or randomly left their line at random places before the cup was incredibly frustrating. We hit good putts that just went all over the place in unpredictable ways. I think for the time of year, despite the wet March, my expectations were much higher.

We had my husband's 40th party at Hollywood Golf Club. The room is lovely and spacious and the staff are welcoming and friendly. We had the Club organise the food for us and it was fantastic!!! Lovely and fresh and an excellent range of items. All our guests commented on it and nothing was too much to ask. A big shout out as well to Rob Morrell who did our music for us. A top bloke and top DJ. Would 100% recommend here if you are looking for a venue.
