These lakes look nothing like the pictures on the website! They are very noisy as all the trees were cut down, which acted as a bit of a sound block from the noisy dual carriage that runs parallel. There are few nice carp, but very few true Leeney's! When the lakes were taken from FADAS the original plan was to turn them into day ticket waters, this predictably failed! The manager is a bit of a prat, the type of carp angler that makes you want to give up carp fishing forever. Yes his obsession with removing every island and tree will probably help the growth of the carp, but those looking for scenery, peace and decent sized fish should not bother. The only scenery you get now is a green metal fence, the car park right next to the lake and rows of bivvies! These lakes have been ruined by the owner and manager!
