Lovely grounds and , if open the inside of the house is a must see. Only downside was the number of dogs in the surrounding area especially Wells next the sea. Absolutely full of them, and I am not sure which is worse, the dogs or their owners who don’t seem to be able to control them. The whole area has in the last few years been spoilt by the number of dogs. The shops, pubs have “Dogs welcome” signs which is fine if you don’t mind then barking and sniffing you while their owners just smile

Enjoy the best beach in the UK, take away great memories and leave nothing but footprints behind Dog-friendliness: Dog friendly but some areas are rightly lead only to protect nesting birds.
