  I count my lucky stars that I came across Andrew on LinkedIn, and subsequently instructed Holborn Adams to take on my case. My case was highly sensitive and at some times traumatic over an 18 month period; Andrew supported me fully and guided me through every step without any judgement. He was everything you'd want in a lawyer: supportive, understanding, caring and fighting for justice.   Last October I approached Holborn & Adams to ask if they could represent me, to which they agreed. Due to my personal financial state at the time, I opted for their £10,000 package. I was a bit surprised that I was asked to pay the full amount up front and was told that the money paid was non refundable if I chose to end my contract with them early. This meant that I had no choice but to carry on using them even when I realised halfway through that I was not happy with them. I have spoken to other Solicitors since then and been told that they do not ask for all of the money upfront, which has left me wishing that I had now gone with another firm that I could have met to discuss my situation before making a huge commitment/payment. As my Court date drew closer, I was understandably growing more anxious especially since I was not receiving regular updates from them. I was constantly contacting them for updates and I felt like I had to remind them to adequately prepare for my case (one example: I ended up collecting my Interview Disk from the Police Station and posting it recorded delivery to them to their offices in Stratford Upon Avon) In court, I was disappointed with the Barrister Holborn and Adams assigned to me. Two of my four key witnesses were not called, even though they were told to come to Court. When I first attended Court to put in my Not Guilty plea, I was told that Andrew Ford would be attending on that day. Unfortunately, he did not come for whatever reason(s). Never once did I meet Andrew Ford during the entire case. On another occasion attending Court, the Solicitor I had been assigned said he would be attending, but again, he did not come for whatever reason(s). Instead, they sent a Paralegal Secretary. One week before my hearing, I was told that my case had been put up to ABH. Holborn & Adams informed me that if I wished for my case to be heard in Crown Court instead of Magistrates, it would cost me a further £5,000 - £7,000. Thankfully I did not pay anymore money and my charge was put back down to Common Assault two days before my hearing due to the Claimant's doctor report stating that her loss of hearing was probably due to old age and not assault. I lost my case. I sent an email to Holborn & Adams letting them know why I was very unhappy with their service. To be honest I felt quite intimated by their reply. What I did find quite startling was their offer of a another Barrister with further costs if I chose to Appeal. I’m not wishing to find myself in such a situation again. I do not recommend this company because for what I was charged, I feel that the service I got was not worth the money I paid. I wish I had shopped around before instructing them. There are a lot of other forms that don't ask for all of the money upfront before meeting them. I have read your reply to my review. Re your comment of "It seems like you’re struggling and we hope you get some guidance and professional help soon". I am not struggling and I find this comment insulting, untrue and shocked that you have written such an allegation when you are not qualified to do so as you are not in the Medical profession.

  Andrew from Holborn Adams was fantastic. Mostly importantly the outcome in my case was positive for myself which is hugely down to Andrew and the team at Holborn Adams.
