FAQ

What types of apples do you use for your cider?

We use a variety of traditional cider apples, including Dabinett, Yarlington Mill, and Kingston Black, to create a unique and flavorful blend for our ciders.

Are your apple orchards sustainably managed?

Yes, we are committed to sustainable agriculture practices and strive to minimize our impact on the environment. We use natural methods to manage pests and diseases, and our orchards are carefully maintained to promote biodiversity and soil health.

How is your cider produced?

Our cider is made using a traditional method of cold fermentation, which allows the natural flavors and aromas of the apples to develop fully. We carefully select and blend our apples, crush them to extract the juice, and then allow the juice to ferment slowly over several months to create a complex and well-balanced cider.

Are your ciders pasteurized?

No, we do not pasteurize our ciders. We believe that pasteurization can affect the flavor and character of our ciders, and we are committed to preserving the natural flavors and aromas of our apples.

Can visitors see the cider-making process at your mill?

Yes, we welcome visitors to our mill and offer tours of our facilities. Visitors can see the cider-making process firsthand, from the crushing and pressing of the apples to the fermentation and bottling of our ciders. We also have a tasting room where visitors can sample our ciders and learn more about our craft.

Found this cider at Gloucester services. Having made our own cider for thirty years, sadly , due to a heart condition , am not allowed to drink alcohol, so the Hogan’s Sobriety was a great find as flavoursome and not as sweet as other non alcohol ciders I have tried.

Called into the shop after visiting Stratford and the service was exemplary. Very knowledgeable, chatty and friendly gentleman served me and nothing was too much for him (sorry didn’t catch a name, but talked about Pembroke 😀). Picked up a case each of my favourites (the Libertine and French Revelation) as well as a mix case to try and find a new favourite! Only tried the Gose to date and it’s gone down a treat. Would heartily recommend seeking out both the ciders and also the shop if you are in the area. I will be doing both again!!
