  The guy who did my sons eye test is really friendly understand and over all the best really good with kids. The lady at the reception amazing really respectful, calm and very patient my son took forever to pick glasses but she was so nice and calm I was getting frustrated but she was so understanding and really good with kids she’s always there really hard worker I think her name is Nazia so friendly and lovely. She’s always fixing my sons glasses because he’s so clumsy she’s really quick too. Thanks so much for the amazing service

  I took my 3 year old to be assessed after an eye injury ( a scratch to his eye), as this was the quickest option . The attending optician was super kind, professional and knowledgeable. I was extremely happy with the manner in which he dealt with my 3 year old, and the advice given. Many thanks indeed

  BAD MANAGEMENT! I have been going to this Opticians for many years, never had a problem with their service before. Naz and the optician have always been very helpful, but recently I’m not sure if the management has changed but I am sick and tired of their constant calls repetitively trying to book me in for an appointment. Although I have told them several times that I will book in when I’m ready plus my son has COVID and I cant come in any time soon. Their lack of incompetence has disappointed me to the point I feel harassed as they fail to update their system. I don’t want to be inconvenienced anymore so I shall be taking my business elsewhere.

  I first went to Hodge Hill Opticians in November of 2019. I was suffering from headaches and double vision which my GP and hospital weren't doing anything about. The optician looked at the back of my eyes and immediately knew something was wrong and sent me to the emergency eye hospital. From there I was admitted to hospital and quickly found out I had a blood clot. I was told I only had around 6 months before the clot would have been fatal. I am extremely thankful to this opticians as they are the reason I am alive today. I would very easily recommend.

  Very friendly and helpful. My daughter broke her glasses and our opticians said they were not repairable and to order another pair, it was stresful for my daughter as she has a high a prescription and we have to wait 2weeks. Walked in to tesco opticians, and naz attended to us, not being a registered patient here she was still very helpfull and polite she fixed the glasses for us within half an hour whilst we did our shopping. Great customer service and will definitely bring my family here when due for our next eyetest.

  Absolutely disgusted with the lack of professionalism with hodge hill opticians. Went into store to choose my son some glasses. I had already had his eye test done else where (thank god). Lady called Naz sat at her desk and pointed at which section we should be looking at from her seat. She was not very engaging and seemed very tired to get off her chair. This was my sons first pair of glasses and I wanted to make sure I had the right glasses. She pointed at all the glasses which were clearly made for babies and the frames were too small for my son so we ended up choosing some plain ones even though we wanted the avengers one. There was a very small selection of glasses for children. Anywys naz was happy to take the prescription off me and the NHS voucher (why not more money in the pot for them I guess as they can claim from this voucher, without failing to deliver the service). I was told the wait would be two to three days and she would call me. I decided to pop into store a week later, apparently the glasses wernt ready. I then rang the store 3 days after I was told they wernt ready. Apparently they had to order some 'special lenses'. I didn't understand why I was given a time frame of a few days and why I wasn't informed of the delay. Again a week later my husband popped into store and the glasses weren't there. When I rang another lady said she wasn't aware as I had spoken to Naz and she didn't know anything even though I had left a note, and the glasses were coming in the next delivery . So I said to her I wanted to speak to her manger. I was told I would receive a call from the optom in charge. A few mins later the lady called and said she will track the post again and the glasses were in the delivery. Due to work commitments I asked if they could deliver the glasses to my home, as they had promised on a few occasions the glasses would be there. I was told this would be done and that I would have the glasses on the evening of 6th November. I am still waiting. This optician staff have lack of customer service, they are very unprofessional and in my experience staff were putting the blame on one another. I told the staff I wanted to escalate this with the optician in charge but got the impression he didn't want to get involved. I wish I had gone to another optician, but due to the convenience I went there. They were good to take the voucher off me and when I asked for the prescription and voucher back they hesitated. In my defence if you cant do the job don't take it on, and first impressions always matter. The worst experience I have had and this wasn't even for me it was for my child. They clearly don't care. I wish I had listened to what others had said. Will definitely not be using them in the future. In response from the owner, there are statements which are untrue. Such an unprofessional practice who likes to cover there own backs. I was Informed by owner as he rang that the review only stated he would give me a call to investigate what has happened but seems to me they like to cover their own back. Absolutely disgusting
