I brought my 5 year old here today to get her first guitar. They were so welcoming and amazing with my daughter. We got a guitar that she LOVES and we got to play with lots of weird and wonderful instruments downstairs. I can’t rate this place high enough! We’ll be back! 💕🎸💕

So from the outside it’s a great shop . However when you go inside the staff are so up themselves and unhelpful. I come into the shop never played banjo in my life , there is a broken string . I say to the guy “can you fix the string - he ses it happens all the time and I need to fix it which is fair enough. He was going to show me how to fix it, he couldn’t fix it . His co-worker ses to me in an angry tone “you should fix it it’s your banjo” because I think the process of when they were fixing it was slightly”dangerous “. Then this guy has a go himself and cannot fix it . Then he’s said go to Camden . I ask him do you know this guy in Camden who can fix it . He said yes . I said can you give it to him and he said no. It’s quite easy to put a banjo In the back of a car and give it to his mate in Camden. Like there just being unhelpful for no reason . Also guy is just playing guitar very loud the whole time - not sure if he’s staff. I will not visit the shop again. Come on guys just be abit more positive and help people .

I dread the days I need anything folk related because despite their huge collection of stuff they are some of the rudest, most horrid people on earth. So condescending it’s ridiculous. I hate this shop, I hate the staff. Walk- in fact- run somewhere else if you’d like to be treated with any sort of dignity.

Great service, I’ve been there a couple of times to buy guitar strings, instruments, percussions, and also to fix the bass, they’ve always been extremely helpful and never disappointed. Very good price for the service especially considering the fact they’re located in central London. Totally recommend them.
