    rang up about a week ago and got through after 40 minutes to be told it was the wrong department and i would get a call back, yet i didn't. I work 9-5 monday-friday so its really hard to find time to call up when waiting times are as long as they are. Im having to take time out of my work to ring the tax office to get my tax code changed! Rang up again today, got through after 25 minutes to a lovely woman who took my details who then transferred me to someone else and while i was waiting to be transferred i was cut off. Its just ridiculous. People don't have all the time in the world to be on the end of the phone to sort a tax code out when it shouldn't be happening in the first place. The system they use really needs improving. it takes 5 minutes alone to get through all the rigmarole of the automated voice. The fact it hangs up on you is ridiculous.

    Rang up as the website does not help sort out a rebate and I have been charged too much on my pensions. Went through the whole process and THEY HUNG UP ON ME. If I owed HMRC money they would just be seizing it from my account. I hate the way we have all just become exploitable and unaccountable to. Complete shower.

    Hark! An hour's tick-tocking on hold, and finally, a person doth answer me. But, alas! They did announce that they must needs put me on hold, whilst they doth conduct a Google search to decipher my query. In an unfortunate twist of fate, they didst press the wrong button, and so did hang up upon me. Thusly, I didst attempt to commence the entire woeful process anew, only to be informed by a mechanical voice that no person was available to receive my call, forsooth, as all had taken their leave for a liquid lunch break.
