Beyond bad. Way beyond. In brief, spare ribs that were so salty they stripped the moisture from your gob in a nanosecond. I have no words for how grim these are. Vile. No, worse. Could it get worse? You betcha. Much so... Onto the lemon chicken. If you want to replicate this fetid slop for yourself, just get some rancid, out of date chicken (alsatian is fine too) "meat" and marinate in cheap washing-up liquid, then waft it near a botulism encrusted hob. Add more bitter, sour washing-up liquid...then kick it under the fridge. A few months later, retrieve it...douse in salt and yet more lemon washing-up liquid. Then charge some unfortunate for the 'privilege'. The rice? Save yourself the bother, and expense...just chew some gravel. It is softer than their 'rice'. If you have read this then consider yourself warned. Enjoy.

I've used this place on and off for over 20 years, but after tonight I'm done with it. It's always been a bit more expensive than other takeaways, which used to be justified, but it's really gone downhill the last few years, And the portions are now comical - a £13 meal bar barely covered half a plate tonight. I can forgive expensive, I can't forgive expensive and stingey.

I decided to try this place after several recommendations from friends. The food is really nice with lots of dishes to try that aren’t available at other Chinese Takeaway places (try the King Prawn Cantonese style). Veg options are a bit lacking (they haven’t joined the Aubergine band wagon like other places), however all the meals are obviously ‘home made’ rather than just reheated/deep fried. The Pancake roll (large) is definitely the best I’ve ever had. They don’t deliver & aren’t on any apps, but I’ve never had to wait longer than 25mins between ordering & collecting my meal.

Its a little bit expensive but its one of the better chinese takeout places in Hitchin. Food is tasty and when I go to collect I never need to wait very long, its pretty much ready on time. Its a regular place for us.
