February 2023 Truly exceptional service. Good products too. Long story short, as this could be a 500 word essay... We're based in South Africa, but one of us was set to travel to the Netherlands in Feb/March and the UK in June. Searching for a high quality mountain worthy tent led us to Hit The Trail. Several logistical complications around timeframes, holding stock, shipping, tax and eventually small refunds were easily and quickly navigated with Russell and John from HTT. And all of that on a sale item too. I've never experienced service like this. To note: Parcelforce delivery from UK to NE took about 17days, through customs etc.

I'd never used Hit The Trail before but came across them while researching Petzl headtorches on Youtube. They were offering a discount so I thought I'd take advantage. Item was in stock and was shipped on a next day service. Upon receiving my order I noticed how well packed it was, attention to detail springs to mind and the "what 3 words" I entered at checkout were hand written on the package, so the courier had no problem finding us as we're in the sticks. Absolutely love the headtorch. A very personal service which has huge value in this day and age of Amazon. Really happy to support small independant businesses, especially when the service is as good as this.

Hit the trail also has an equipment rental scheme, providing high quality equipment for very reasonable prices. I have used the rentable equipment whilst completing my explorer belt (a scouting expedition) and each item was incredible. I cannot recommend this business enough
