Stayed one night with 8 course taster menu. Room reasonable (room2)Food disappointing and lacking taste with the bao and prawn toastie. Too long an interval between tasters. Small details let it down. Water glasses on table too big to pick up with one hand. Bar a disaster. Limited stock.Freezing cold lounge bar. No heating or fire on. Requested heating be put on 3 times but to no avail. Guests sitting in bar post taster with blankets on them to keep warm. Staff friendly and obliging (except for putting heat on) Quality of food at breakfast disappointing. Felt like everything was portion control . 1slice of toast each. One coffee. No condiments on table. Felt as if hotel was in economy drive. Sadly wouldn't recommend to family and friend's.

Second time stayed here with 7 year gap. Stayed in new room which was nice with nice view of the grounds. Staff were friendly, food was good, which was tasting menu and wine matched it well. Would recommend it

We're really big foodies. When looking for wedding venues we just knew that quality food had to feature highly on our must-haves. The moment we drove into the grounds we knew it was the place for us. Smaller than a lot of wedding venues, this meant it is immaculately well kept and allowed us to have an intimate wedding venue with beautiful food and views of surrounding countryside. The grounds are beautifully kept all year round, the house is also stunningly looked after. We booked our wedding in 2018 for 2020. Covid forced us to delay twice, until 2022. The staff were truely awesome the entire time. there was always someone to talk to if you needed them and no question was too small. George, the general manager, Lauren, the wedding coordinator, Robert, the sommelier, and the entire team were honestly fantastic and faultless. On our wedding day nothing was so much as out of line. we did nothing other than turn up and be ushered around. The staff seamlessly dressed rooms, made sure everyone was where they were meant to be, and the kitchen staff produced outstanding food while catering to a wide variety of allergies and intolerances. We had the absolute best day and can't wait to go back. Photos Copyright Neil Redfern 2022

What an amazing place!!! Staff are so friendly and attentive. The setting is stunning, as are the buildings. We had the 8 course tasting menu and stayed in a Master Stable Suite and the whole experience was just fantastic. The food was out of this world gorgeous.
