Rooms: Where do i begin. Overall, it was such a brilliant experience. Brilliant and spacious bedrooms. Free breakfast room service (if breakfast is included in your booking). It could do with delivering the food a little earlier, so it's not cold on arrival, but the quality of food overall is superb. The restaurant on the lower ground floor was especially spectacular, and service was impeccable. I suffer from a lot of allergies, so I was really pleased when i was able to go for a work event and be catered for by the chef. I can't thank the catering team enough! When i was full, they even let me take it to the room to snack on later. Not only that, the events team was very helpful when hosting our BHETA the Buyer event with John Lewis. The team was accommodating during shift changes, checking up on lunch requirements, and assisting us with the smooth running of our event, when using the Langley and Abbotts rooms and breakout room with refreshments. The team really went above and beyond to support us. Including providing us with sign stands and some scissors and cellotape for extra signage. Really would love to stay again and any issues the hilton staff were there to support, no questions asked. They also have a sundries store for your daily necessities, snacks on the go, and toiletries you may have left behind. In my case, a toothbrush and toothpaste. Everyone is treated like an A-lister at this hotel. I would most definitely look to book another event here and stay again. You have been an absolute pleasure! Many thanks and best wishes, Reena Choudhury Member Services Coordinator at BHETA

Having read many negative reviews on this and other sites I was not looking forward to our 2 nights stay. (The hotel was booked for family from near and far to attend a wedding in a nearby venue ). Our experience was fine , much better than expected. The room was very clean and comfortable and not particularly dated ( as per other reviews) . The only negative was it took a long time to work out how to switch the heating on and the room was cold until it kicked in. Although the hotel is right by a busy main road and near the M1 there was no noise from outside in the room. The only choice of food in the evening was in the bar, fairly standard fare but well cooked though somewhat pricey for what it was. The breakfast buffet was excellent, the service very helpful and friendly, the only gripe being that coffee is from an automated machine and not great but that seems to be the standard in many hotels now. My one complaint would be the service charge at the bar. We were a very large group but everyone was buying rounds in small groups. Everyone went to the bar and ordered/ collected their drinks. The drinks are expensive (£16 for a single G +T and a medium glass of wine). On top of this a £3+ service charge was added, the higher the bill the bigger the service charge. If you object the charge is removed immediately, it should not be automatically added in the first place. The location is good if you are arriving by car as it's close to both the M1 and M25 and there are plenty of parking spaces. Not much in the area if you don't have a car, a Toby carvery next to the hotel but that's it. However taxis in the area are plentiful, we had no problems ordering multiple taxis on 2 occasions. I don't envisage being in the area again but if I was I would stay again without hesitation.
