A lovely spot for country life and dog -walking. I wonder, however, if the staff in the cafe are recruited for being rather slow, both physically and slow witted ! Everyone of them we have encountered has had as much charm as a shoal of ravenous pirhanna, perhaps we just got the good ones !

Playground: It is being built, but hopefully will be finished by the summer 23, ready for school holidays Restrooms: Plenty of trees for a man wee Dog-friendliness: Plenty of trees for dogs Picnic area: Nice field by the lake for a picnic, just a shame people throw their rubbish in the bushes. Could do with a couple more litter bins about the place.

We went here at 20/05/2023 with my 1 year old ( he will be 2 years old on 11/12/ 2023) little brother Johny. When we went to the play area the closed note now said late summer instead of late spring. We will not return until August 2023!

Nice walks. Different routes to choose. Can easily spend a couple of hours walking. River and lake, benches to sit down. Make sure you have the right shoes as even if it wasn't raining, it was pretty muddy at places. Parking was £1 for 2h and right by it coffee shop with some snacks and toilets.
