A relatively good experience however you only got to see a limited amount of rooms within the house and there was no Downtown Abbey merchandise in the shop at all. I'd have thought they'd have at least something Downton in there

We booked the guided castle tour at £140 per person, included a small group tour of the house, the Egyptian exhibit and a rather large meal at the Coach House Tearoom afterwards and a free copy of Lady Carnarvon’s book, and roaming around the gardens til closing. It is a lovely castle, interesting history, beautiful gardens. If you enjoy the gardens allow yourself plenty of time to wander around. You can also purchase drinks and snacks at the tearoom.
