Sarah helped design my wedding dress from scratch and from our very first meeting in January 2022 I knew it was going to be wonderful. I was able to select my own fabric and the price was very reasonable considering the number of fittings I had. Each time there were slight tweaks to the design and in December 2022 I finally had the chance to wear my bespoke dress! Sarah, Steph and the team were amazing throughout and even made a small heart out of my mums jumper who passed away prior to my wedding which was then tucked away in my dress pocket. I couldn’t recommend this group of ladies more and I’ve never had so many compliments about a dress ever! I loved my dress when I first bought it, and the shop I got it from sold Thimbelina as the place to get alterations. However, unfortunately after it was I picked it up after being altered I didn’t feel the same way and each fitting I felt more deflated questioning my decision for the dress. The team were friendly and did they did accommodate me for my first appointment within a few days of contacting them which was much appreciated. However, it is worth pointing out that the first girl lost my measurements so ‘guessed’ for the bodice and the top needing adjusting further between fittings. This resulted in an additional charge that I wasn’t expecting and should have challenged more in hindsight. I had quite a few alterations to add a back to dress, add a bodice and extend the zip up. I don’t feel like these were done that professionally. Specific examples are the bodice was not sewn into the dress so kept coming up on the day as I moved. Also where the dress has been taken in around shoulders there were loose strands. To summarise, if I was to ever need a dress altered again I probably wouldn’t come here.
