    I have had no issues since using this GP service, it was incredibly easy to register, I have made 2 appointments (over the phone) since registering 4 months ago and it was a very easy a smooth process. Also they are incredibly helpful with repeat prescriptions. I have not attempted to make an emergency appointment as it has not been necessary, so I cannot comment on how that has been.

    This centre is a disaster. They cancel twice my appointments and the third time they didn't communicate that I should to do a covid test, they say if you still have a cough do the test. My cough passed and they didn't want to pass me to the doctor. In the first appointment I told my symptoms, they said ok come today, after 5 minutes call me back and told me go to the emergency. The second time cancel the appointment without any explanation. And other thing, why you request that the pacient wear mask if you don't wear mask. Really disappointed. I will change the GP for me and my family because here is impossible.

    GP is not for people who work… it is for unemployed or for retired people who have flexible time enough to adapt to the appointments proposed. Those who work will never get an appointment unless take an entire day off for that 10 mins with a doctor. Doctor has 10 mins per person, and if you come more than 5 mins late you have to reschedule and wait another at least 3 weeks for appointment… even is if the waiting room is completely empty at the time of arrival. Getting anything done is impossible. Neither doctor nor the reception cares about the patient’s situation or no kindness is there, they will tell you to leave if you arrived 5 mins and 5 seconds late… because you can only be 5 mins late… I am not dying there so they can treat me this way…. please can anyone tell me what do you do? Do you ppl live without doctors in this country or do you want pay private on top of NIN ? How do people live here? Can you afford that if are employed? I’ve lived here for 14 years but I don’t really use doctor… unless they tell me to come for some routine tests. This time I wanted to be checked felt it necessary and since all those years paid and never used anything I thought it’s okay to use it… and that is too much for them … Also I left in tears because i was so frustrated and upset. I run really fast to make it on time, worked from home tht day and sadly I arrived 5 mins late and was sent away. I was so frustrated and helpless and treated like I mean nothing and told that everything is for free in NHS in response to me expressing my disappointment … the doctor cancelled my appointment 3 weeks before for which I patiently waited some time. I accepted cancellation but when I arrived 5 mins late I was told I am too late…. I have not been shared my test results and it has been months since my tests… it is just making me feel so small and meaningless when being treated like this…. Is there anyone else who feels this way? Or was treated this way? Heartless GPs, impolite reception- this is what we have to encounter if I want to use NHS which is NOT free… nothing is free in this country…

The surgery was not busy and I was seen quite quickly.     Higham Hill is one of the best medical centres I’ve been to. I was with SMA for the last 3 years and their service was so poor. Higham Hill at every responsive, the staff is caring and they actually care whilst taking the time to listen to you instead of cutting off. Getting appointments hasn’t ever been a problem.
