I found Andy purely by looking at reviews such as this when looking for a TV engineer. He came to have a look at my TV and was very knowledgeable about the root cause of the problem which was 'blooming' on a 55" LCD Panasonic. He is a very genuine chap. He offered clear and concise advice on how to reduce the problem but explained that it was a fault peculiar to LCD's and that there was no way to eradicate it. Although disappointing that it can't be fixed it is so refreshing to have someone come to your home who took the time to listen to me and then do their very best to explain and demonstrate that this is a known issue and genuinely say that there is nothing you can do. He suggested I have a look at the Internet on the issue of blooming for further background information. He offered advice on a new TV purchase if I wanted to go down that route. At the end of the day I will keep this TV. 90% off the time it is great and doesn't justify buying a new one. I will also keep Andys name and number as I feel that as it perhaps gets older and maybe encounters further problems, then there is no better person to look after it for me. I am happy to recommend him without hesitation.
